About This Listing
Stay in this beautiful, light-filled cottage in South Eugene near downtown. Surrounded on two sides by a sunny flower and vegetable garden (during the summer) and shaded by a large hazelnut tree, this cottage is comfortable and very pleasing. Recently remodeled, this space is the perfect union of rustic and modern. The cottage includes a full bathroom with a newly-tiled shower. There is a large wooden countertop in the room with a deep sink and a refrigerator. The space also includes a desk and chair, a coatrack and a large closet. The full bed is fitted with extremely soft Egyptian cotton to ensure a comfortable night's rest.
The cottage is located behind a newly remodeled, beautiful home. The folks in the main house are very tidy and polite and will not disturb you. We are surrounded on all sides by very quiet and respectful neighbors. The neighborhood is filled with lovely gardens and there is a park one block away that is perfect for an evening stroll. If you are on foot, downtown is a ten minutes away and the university is fifteen. There is ample space for parking in front of the house, so no need to worry about parking while here.
If you absolutely must smoke, you may do so outside, on the patio.
Please be respectful of the neighbors when entering and exiting the building.
This was my first time using Airbnb and it couldn't have gone smoother. Although I didn't get the opportunity to meet Joey, he was a phenomenal host! Check in was a piece of cake and the space is beautiful with updated appliances in the bathroom, lots of natural light and a comfortable bed. Joey even went above and beyond the call of duty by mailing a left item of mine back to me! I definitely recommend this Airbnb.
What a great little cottage in a delightful area of Eugene with many vintage craftsman homes! It was light, airy, immaculate and very charming. Joey was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. It was all seamless and I hope to stay there again, the next time that I am in Eugene.
We absolutely loved our stay in the Cottage. This airbnb was hands down our favorite. What a beautiful space, we never wanted to leave! The attention to detail was impeccable. The Cottage was clean and cozy, with plenty of clean towels, sheets, and even new bottles of soap! The next time we are in Eugene we will definitely stay here again!
Joey was an amazing host. Even though we did not meet, he was wonderful at keeping in touch and making sure we had everything we needed. He even went out of his way to fulfill a request I had.
The cottage was really cozy and beautiful. It looked as if a lot of thought went into every detail, from the artwork to the books on the shelf.
I would love to stay with Joey if I were ever in Eugene again.
About the Host, Joey
I grew up in San Rafael, California and I moved to Eugene in 2006. Now, I'm a Project Manager at software firm that specializes in design, engineering and delivery. In all aspects of my life I strive for minimalism – you'll notice this when you stay in my cottage. With less clutter there is more room for thought, peace and contentment.
Because I'm a minimalist, I travel light and only with the essentials. I also live light and only with the essentials. I value quality, and I'm willing to pay for it – when one has less, one can invest more. Additionally, I value experiential wealth rather than material wealth. I put a high value on time spent with friends around the table enjoying the fruits of our world.
I love to cook (and eat!). I also love wine, beer and liquor – to explore the nuance beverage is an unending adventure and one I thoroughly enjoy. And, of course, libation brings great revelry to each occasion.
Airbnb in wonderful because I have the chance to meet interesting people when I host them in my home. I'm a generous person, and Airbnb gives me a chance to share with others. You may notice small treats when you first arrive at my house.

The best place for produce in Eugene (aside from the Saturday Farmers Market). This is a total hippy-dippy-chill-out-hey-dude place, but their produce is amazing. Recommended if youre into organics.East 24th Avenue Eugene OR 97405
