Wonderful family duplex apartment on the top floor of a 17th century building with elevator with a private flowered terrace on the Ile Saint Louis, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
Lots of natural light, very comfortable, great location!
Please note the elevator is not working until mid-February, this is why the price is reduced for this period.
Lovely apartment and neighborhood and Regis and his staff were very efficient. We'd love to come back someday!
Tout s'est bien passé, superbe vue. L'eau chaude ne marchait pas mais a été vite rétablie. Le quartier est super. Très bon séjour, je recommande l'appartement vivement.
We had the pleasure of staying at Régis' lovely flat in the single best part of Paris: Île Saint Louis. Everything was exactly as he had said it would be and more: The views were incredible, the rooms were bright and airy, and we immediately felt at home. The downstairs bedroom was big and had its own great view and the bedroom upstairs was bright, airy, comfortable, and lovely. We loved having the terrace and despite the reviews, we dont think the stairs leading up were too steep. And the elevator leading up to the flat was quick and small, but always working in perfect order, making this stay for my disabled mother possible.
Régis' associate Jessica was fantastic. She met us at the apartment immediately when we arrived and gave us a perfect walk through and complementary bottle of wine. She showed us that the flat was fully equipt with washer, dish washer, hair dryer, microwave, full kitchen, electric water heater, and radiators through out--so keeping warm was never a problem. The flat comes with WIFI as well as a phone to make local and long distance calls-- this made ordering taxis for us very easy!
The last day we were in Paris, we locked ourselves out of the apartment (we were foolish and only requested one key when Jessica offered us two ;) ) but I called Jessica and she met us within 15 minutes at a nearby train station. What could have been a bad mishap was corrected in a matter of minutes. Jessica was gracious, professional, sweet, accomodating, informative, helpful, speaks perfect English, and we really appreciated having her as our host and liason.
What else can be said? We had a perfect stay in a perfect flat in the most perfect position Paris can offer. We had a 350 foot walk to a nearby Metro station, 500 feet walk to Notre Dame. To our immediate north was la Marais, and to our immediate south was the Latin Quarter. Truly the single best location in all of Paris.
We thank you for giving us such a great first experience on airbnb. And we will definitely be looking to stay at Régis' place again.
Merci beaucoup Jessica et Régis!
Great apartment excellent location. The street has everything you would want. and is close to walking to all major areas of Paris. There is a cheese shop a wine shop and a bakery right there. Check in was a breeze. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend others to use this place. Pictures are accurate. The only thing to note is that the stair case is a bit narrow and our kids had a bit of difficulty going up and down.
We were most effectively recived by the staff of Régis and the appartment was as described, but more charming than showed on the photos. The neigbourhood is extremely central and nice, of course with many tourists since it is as central as it is. We would definitely return to the appartement on any other trip to Paris.
Loved it! Clean and bright with amazing views of the rooftops of Paris-- and Notre Dame if you look to the right. Regis and his staff were professional and helpful. The neighborhood is very central and well situated. Having an elevator is key although you can hear the elevator from the top bedroom (the top of the elevator shaft is located here) but that only happened once when going to bed as it is not a busy building. I would have preferred better pillows for the bed as well. Everything else was perfect for us -- a couple with our 10 month old son.
Thank you, Regis! xoxo
Regis and his assistants were very responsive and helpful. This is really a lovely apartment and situated in the best spot in Paris ! Right in the middle of everything and charming beyond description. I also appreciated there was a small well stocked grocery across the street where we could buy snacks and supplement some eating out costs as well. Also probably the best bakery in Paris two doors down from ours (may not be a plus if you have a sweet tooth like me, but oh well when in Paris eat like the Parisians). And if you love cheese an amazing cheese shop right next door! The one aspect I did not like was the stairs going up to the main bedroom with the patio off of it has stairs that are more like a ladder (steep+narrow), so for me it was not a good option for sleeping since I tend to get up couple times a night. However we did of course enjoy going up there during the day and sitting on the patio in the evening. On the patio the view is magical. One of my favorite experiences in Paris was riding on the Gato water boats on the Seine river, from Ille Saint Louis it was a matter of stepping out our front and onto to our 'water taxi' to the Louver, Eiffel Tower, Musee D'orsay etc.
Merci Regis and Paris.
