Absolutely lovely place. Had a wonderful three days here. Please note that Nikola Grubelic is just the agent for this guest house and is based in Dubrovnik. The actual hosts are Zdravko Simunovic and his wife Kati. When we arrived at Sipan Island, no one knew who Nikola Grubelic was, and we had to find the house ourselves. It didn't take long as Sudarad is tiny but it might be worth getting Zdravko to meet you at the ferry terminal, if possible. Zdravko and Kati are really charming & did their utmost to make us feel at home but were also unobtrusive and gave you your privacy. They made us a delicious large breakfast each morning (for 10 euros each) - with produce from Zdravko's organic farm. Zdravko speaks good English. The room is immaculately clean and comfortable with good wi-fi and has a stunning view over the harbour. You can make your own food in the separate kitchen. Sipan Island is beautiful - very small, only 500 inhabitants, v peaceful, crystal clear seawater, good for snorkeling. Sudurad is a small settlement with several restaurants - go next door to Tre Sestra run by Zdravko's brother for a lovely meal - and one café and a bar. I want to go back to this place as it was so lovely. If you want a peaceful, relaxing time - would be v good for families and children too - then this place is ideal.
Very nice people with the mmost amazing view of of the ocean and the town would highly recommend this place
Fantastic apartment just literally right outside the town walls. Nicely renovated and very comfortable apartment. Would highly reccomend - we were offered homemade cake and drinks by the hosts.
Despite the confusion that not Nikola Grubelic appeared to be the landlord but mr. Zdravko Simunovic, the accommodation was perfect. The view of the terrace overlooking the small bay of Sudurad is simply fantastic. So is the wonderful care of Zdravko and his lovely wife Kate and not to forget their delicious breakfast and evening meals. Everything organically home grown on their farm some mile away from their home. Highly recommended!
The photos don't do justice. The bed and bathroom were bigger than I'd expected, as was the gorgeous marble patio/deck overlooking old town and the coast. Zrinka was friendly, available, and helpful. It was nice to have fruit, tea, etc., provided. Only possible suggestions I'd make would be to add another pillow pr two to the bed. The bed was a bit hard but overall our stay was very comfortable and the place beautiful.
Zrinka was so nice! Her family including their dog were great hosts. It was a perfect location and had everything I needed including a few cold beer waiting for me in the fridge. Day trip excursions picked me up the the Biker cafe which is a few min walk from the apt. I would recommend it!
Clean and good looking! Small minus on the WiFi which wasn't working.
The appartment was clean and as in the pictures.
We appreciated the private parking place as parking in Dubrovnik seems to be very difficult.
The appartment is located 25 minutes away from the old city by foot, and the walk is nice.
First, admiration for our host. Due to bad timing on ourselves (Croatia had turned out to be quite beautiful country!) and unexpected cross-boarder delays (we have been traveling with a car) we arrived in Dubrovnik quite late, yet Nikola was very understanding and had arranged a host woman to be at the place when we finally reached our destination! The place looks exactly as in the pictures - new stylish furniture and everything you need for your stay - appliances, clean bedsheets, and towels. The apartment is in a relatively quiet neighborhood, there is a bus stop a few meters away, and it is on 20 minutes walking distance from the Old City. The bigger bedroom has somewhat of a queen size bed and the smaller room has normal size bed and a twin bed. We were five people and didn't have any problems with the space, one only has to pay attention that the hot water is enough because it's not provided by a central heating, but by a boiler. There is Wi-Fi, overall in all Croatia the speed is not something that impresses, yet it's enough for some basic browsing. There is a parking lot, so those traveling with a car would be spared the headache to find a place for it! All in all, definitely recommend this place :)
Zrinka was a great host, very welcoming and able to answer all our questions and point us towards interesting things to do. The room itself was clean and spacious, with aircon which came in handy! Amazing view and a nice, quiet location while only 10-15mins walk from the old town. We'd definitely stay here again if coming back to Dubrovnik.
