Welcome Dear Guests! I look forward to meeting each of you.
This is an Adults Only property.
My property was designed with the quiet and mature adult in mind, the guest who is looking for a respite in the City, for a place to catch up on much needed sleep and restoration between days spent working, visiting relatives, or exploring San Francisco. Many of my guests arrive with jet lag, so please- no kids (no infants/ toddlers/ children or teenagers) under 18 years old and no pets. My architecture office is on the property and I live in the main house so I will be here to help you as you get acquainted with San Francisco.
Thank you for helping to insure a quiet environment for all of us.
I look forward to sharing my home and garden.
Super cozy-- great heater for winter/ ceiling fan for summer.
Private deck for Cabana guests only.
One double bed, European style goose down duvet (hypoallergenic available- ask me).
Shower, excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Free high speed wifi dedicated to the Cabana, works great.
Small table for breakfast or laptop work, 40"HDTV with cable.
Iron, ironing board, blow dryer, lots of towels, fresh sheets.
No cooking kitchen: I offer a "Coffee Bar" for simple breakfasts, leftovers, and snacks:
Small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, tea maker, local coffee supplied, tea selection, and local Anchor Steam Beer awaits you in the fridge.
Access to Washer / Dryer.
Lots of excellent restaurants within two blocks, Whole Foods and its cafe is four blocks, easy street parking (let me know if you are bringing a car so I can explain the street parking day and restricted area common to all of SF), walk to Mission Bay, South of Market (home to many famous start ups), close to bus/ light rail stops, easy and fast cab/ Lyft/ Uber pickup, 20 minutes to airport.
No pets, no kids, no smoking, no parties, quiet is key to our happiness! Thank you.
Guests may use the shared garden and the shared laundry room.
Interaction with Guests
I'll see you to say hi and maybe we'll enjoy a glass of wine or cup of tea together in the garden!
Excellent location for getting around town while staying in a wine country atmosphere, or hang out close by and enjoy some of the finest restaurants and cafes in San Francisco. No kidding!
Choice of easy access to buses and the trolley. The trolley goes to downtown and Market Street, the buses are great for heading over to the Mission and other neighborhoods. Easy walking to great restaurants and cafes.
Other Things to Note
I started hosting in 2010 and have made this a part of my everyday life - enjoying meeting travelers from around the world!
This is a listing for mature folks.
NO pets, no kids (no infants/ toddlers/ children or teenagers) under 18 years old, no smoking, two adults maximum per room, quiet is very much appreciated- guests may be arriving with jet lag and sleeping odd times.
Please keep the street door locked.
PARKING: If you plan on bringing a car please tell me ahead of time so that I can explain to you where you can park on the street to avoid a ticket. Please try to rent an Economy or Compact car-- spaces can be tight otherwise.
Thanks you for not blocking my neighbors' driveways even for a moment-- it's a point of concern for me as they will be very upset!
I am so thankful to have Kepa as a neighbor and her gorgeous airbnb available to my guests when they come to visit. Everyone loves staying with her, then having breakfast and spending the day with me! It is working so well we are remodeling our guest bedroom into a home office!
Kepa's Garden Cabana is perfect- a quaint and lovely garden in a great neighborhood. Will certainly book again.
The cabana was cozy and bright with just a touch of funky style. I especially liked the eclectic reading selection--I actually got wrapped up in "Infinite City: A San Francisco Atlas" for an hour or so until I realized we were on vacation and should probably, you know, explore the actual city. We were very satisfied! Kepa was awesome, super prompt and communicative, and she had lots of great recommendations for places to visit and ways to get around.
My husband and I spent a week at Kepa's house and it's easily my favorite Airbnb experiences as a guest so far. The location is walking distance to many great restaurants and cafes. Plow is well known for their amazing brunch and it's right up the corner from Kepa's. We went there twice! There's a Wholefoods just a few blocks down so we were able to pick up some groceries to make breakfast and snacks. Even though there isn't a full kitchen, the little kitchenette in the corner is thoughtfully placed and I felt like I had everything I needed. Kepa was so welcoming and even invited us over one night to hang out with her other guests. Kepa is an architect so needless to stay, her place is gorgeous, love the design details, and the garden is a paradise. We got to explore the city, but also were able to relax at Kepa's Garden Cabana when we felt like staying in. Would love to stay there again one day!
I've stayed in about 10 places in san francisco and Kepa's is certainly one of the nicest. First, she's a wonderful host, extremely helpful and great to chat with. The location is on the lower part of potrero hill so very convenient to south or market tech companies and simple to hope on a freeway to get out of the city.
The garden cabana is very homey. There's no kitchen but there is a mini fridge and a microwave so making tea or coffee or bringing some food back from the whole foods which is two blocks over is simple. And there are number of restaurants in the area.
The french doors open on to a wonderful back yard where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine.
I would/t hesitate to book this place again.
Truly a gem! We arrived late at night after a long day of traveling and were greeted by the most serene, magical garden lit up with string lights. The cabana is beautiful, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend !
Kepa is a fantastic host! She makes her guests feel welcome and is very accommodating. The cabana is as nice as it looks in the pictures. One plus on this unit is that it is completely detached--great for those who value a little extra privacy. The only drawback is the sink in the bathroom is tiny.

You can see me with Katie Couric of (website hidden) news in the third picture- when she came over and interviewed me about being an Airbnb host, and took a tour of the Cabana and the garden.
I've been here in San Francisco and in Potrero Hill since 1978, and I can help you figure out what to do and how to get around. I've had construction and design businesses all my life and I'm enjoying adding Airbnb hosting to my daily routine. I've travelled quite a bit and enjoy having the world come to me!
