Featured in an issue of Southern Living Magazine, this is a cozy, book-lined, recently renovated space with elegant decor and a wraparound sitting porch, located in a beautiful, mature, piedmont forest abounding with wildlife. There are hiking trails along New Hope Creek and others nearby. Very private and quiet but only 8 minutes from UNC Hospital, Hillsborough Campus, within 20 minutes of Duke, UNC-CH, NCCU, & historic Hillsborough
—RDU only 30 minutes. Guests of all walks of life welcome.

The space
You'll be able to access the entire top two levels, including the full use of the wraparound porch with its table, chairs, and hammock. There is a TV monitor with the capacity to play a wide selection of DVDs and VHS videos.

The back stairs are not for guest use. The bottom floor is a waiting room, Jim’s individual office for his very limited medical practice, and an administrative office for Libba.

Where you’ll be

Hillsborough, North Carolina, United States

On our property there are moderately difficult hiking trails; and within a 10 to 15 minutes drive, there are numerous, public, hiking trails, including the Mountains to the Sea Trail and the trails of Occoneechee Mountain, Brumley Forest, Duke Forest, Johnson Mill Nature Preserve, Eno River State Park, and Blackwood Farm Park.

Historic Hillsborough is a 15 minute drive and has a fine selection of locally-owned restaurants, art galleries, and music venues. Ice cream on the front porch of Maple View Farm is a short five minute drive.
