Interaction with Guests
We're on hand if you need us.
You are located in Gracia. A village within a city as people describe it; walking distance to everywhere it is only 15 minute walk to Passeig de Gracia yet a step away from that city feeling. It enjoys bustling squares and vibrant bar and cafe life. If you want to experience the real Barcelona and feel like a local this is the location for you. There are plenty of food markets, boutiques, specialty shops, cafes and restaurants all in close proximity.
Gracia is in a district bubbling with local bars, cinemas and theatres. There is one of the few original version cinemas that offer 8 different shows. The most characteristic thing about the neighbourhood is it’s squares full with bars and terraces to have a drink or a lunch. Many might compare Gracia with New York's East Village. It’s close enough to all the touristic spots (you can even walk to Park Güell or the Sagrada Familia) but it is far enough to avoid touristic crowds.
The apartment is 2 minutes away from the green line subway station which can takes you within 3 stops to the city centre and the gothic quarter. Or you can do an easy 20 min downhill walk along Passeig de Gracia down to Plaza Catalunya and the beginning of the Ramblas.
The train station is only 2 subway stops away. Here you can find connections to many of the beaches north and south of Barcelona or to the mountain areas and the Pyrenees.

Everything was great from the web right through to meeting Phil on his Vespa outside the apartment, punctual and very friendly.
It's exactly as per the photos and is in very good condition. It has a well designed, good quality and stylish interior equipped with everything we needed. Clean and quiet but in the heart of a vibrant area crammed with artisan shops, cafes and restaurants. There are no exterior windows but a delightful internal mini courtyard instead. Very safe and benign atmosphere at night, kids out playing in the squares, lots of local families eating out, etc. At first might seem slightly shabby if all the shop shutters are down as they're all grafitti'd and there are street bins aplenty but once you realise that the graffiti is urban art and is confined to the shutters - and it disappears when the shops open, then all is good. Easy walking to metro, trains, etc. Couldn't have been better with really excellent "20 things to do" guides and apartment bible provided by Phil and Fiona.
The house from inside is good but the wether inside the house is really cold even when the heaters are working. and another disadvantage of the house that the main door is on the street directly and this is not (website hidden) the way you should be ready to hear from the owner a lot of fakes penalties after the checkout.
A complete and utter lack of respect. I have all of the photos of the utter mess that you left the apartment in. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. Not only were cigarettes smoked in the apartment, but weed as well. The whole living and kitchen area resembled a stoners den. Food and drink bottles every where, half eaten McDonalds hamburgers on the wooden table. It was without doubt the worst condition any of our apartment have ever been left in. Cigarette ash empted onto the floor of the apartment rather than a bin. We are still in complete shock that upon discovering the gas had run out on the BBQ you then proceeded to light charcoal on the gas hob in the kitchen to cook your food. At what stage did you think it was either safe or acceptable to light charcoal inside and on the gas hob. We guess it obviously didn't taste good as you left all of it stinking the apartment out on plates around the living room and the pan used to cook. At check in I told you that both the curtains between the glass hall must be kept shut when the heating is on. You chose not do do this and then write to say the apartments was cold. No other guest has been cold in the apartment as they follow the most basic of instructions. Which are also in the house manual and a sign on the wall. Regarding the house being on the street, exactly where else would you expect to find an front door? For future guests information the front door from the street opens to a porch area with another door into the apartment. We have had so many families stay there with young children and none of them have found the location of the front door to be unsafe. As for the penalties..Yes we did ask for your security deposit to be given to us. This contributed to the 3 hours extra cleaning we had to pay for, the cleaning of the sofa covers to remove the smell of smoke, the same for all the bedding and blankets you had used in the living room. There where no fake penalties, in your message to me just now you said " i read your emails about the house being in a mess after us and i accept the penalty the you asked for." So you have agreed to them and now saying they are fake! All in all, you had no respect for us or our apartment and to then leave a review that is negative and try and find fault in what is a superb apartment because you lost your security deposit.
Super week end dans cet appart très agréable.
Phil et Fiona se sont très bien occupé de nous !
Muchas gracias !
This apartment was perfect! Very spacious and unusually long. We genuinely had an amazing time there; making use of the bbq and the patios (even though it was January!).
Although I didn't manage to meet Phil or Fiona in person, they were absolutely great hosts; always there to help and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable during our stay. There were extensive and invaluable local and city guides in the apartment that genuinely made our short stay a lot more productive. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into making sure that their guests have absolutely no worries.
I really wish we could have stayed there for a few more days! Definitely recommended. Thanks guys!
This was a great apartment with excellent and attentive support from Phil and Fiona. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures show it - spacious yet cozy, with lots of space to gather inside and outside. Nice bedrooms and ample space for clothing, and GREAT bathrooms. The location was great too - conveniently located off one of the major north/south streets through the city, but a few doors down from noise, making it a nice retreat to come home to. The neighborhood is very charming as well - lots of great, not-very-touristy restaurants, plenty of shopping at interesting boutiques, and lots of great options nearby for renting bikes. Also, small grocery store across the street for last-minute cooking items, beverages, etc. It is a bit of a walk down to the touristy parts of the city (30-45 minute walk to the end of Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, etc.), but if you're looking to get away from tourists, this spot is perfect. Phil and Fiona will make sure you have everything you need to feel comfortable during your stay.
Todo bien, cómodo, amplio y con instrucciones del funcionamiento de todo.
All fine, comfortable, spacious with instructions on how to work all the appliances.
We had an absolutely wonderful time during our recent visit to Barcelona due in part to the beautiful apartment we stayed in on Carrer Montseny. It was comfortable, clean, warm and inviting and had everything we needed and then some. We chose the apartment based on having two outside patio areas and they were beautiful. The location was PERFECT and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafés, attractions and a Metro stop just around the corner. Yet extremely quiet at night for sleeping. Take advantage of the House Book with information on "where to go" in the neighborhood - La Papeta (spelling?) is the BEST Tapas in Barcelona with great service and ambiance. Our sincere thanks to Phil and Fiona who were a delight to deal with and gave us quick responses to questions and emails. We would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to everyone!
