Description

The Space

You may have never thought it possible, but here you go: a spacious, warm and inviting apartment in Paris.

Fully stocked kitchen, large bathroom, two bedrooms and a living room with couch. All in a hip neighbourhood along Paris' Canal Ourcq.

We're on the top floor of a 1930's building, with windows in every room. As long as there's light in the sky, the apartment here is filled with it.

The master bedroom is good for two, and two more can fit on the futon in the office. Between both rooms are the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for use, with all the pots and pans, plates and cutlery you'd need. We have an oven, microwave and four gas burners, along with a washer/dryer and spices and a blender if you want to get really fancy.

Our living/dining room has a table and several chairs, a television and a couch. It has wooden floors and a high ceiling, and two large windows that look out on the south of Paris. As do every other room in the house.

Well, every room except one. The bathroom has tile floors and not much of a view, but it makes up for that by being spacious and fully equipped. We have a large bathtub, a toilet and sink, a hairdryer and mirror with vanity. Everything you'd need!

Please do not book more than one month before the date of arrival. We will not be able to confirm.

The building is almost directly on top of the Canal Ourcq, great for picnics in the warmer months and leisurely strolls when it gets cooler. Down the canal about 5 minutes away, there's the Parc La Villette in one direction, and a number of very cool bars, cafés and movie theaters in the other.
The Buttes Chaumont Parc is nearby, as is the 104 Cultural Center.

Every Thursday and Sunday, there is an open air farmer's market at the end of the street, should you ever feel the need to immediately cook up some classic French dishes.

Montmartre is 20 min away on foot, or even faster on a Velib' bike, of which there are several stands around the area.

We're at the metro stop 'Crimée', on the line 7, and also close to the lines 2 and 5 at the nearby 'Stalingrad' stop.

The Louvre is about 15 minutes away on the line 7, and it is never more than 20 min of transit from the apartment to the city core.

The line 5 will very quickly bring you to both Gare de Nord/Gare de l'Est area, and to the Bastille/Oberkampf/Republique strip, one of the city's biggest nightlife areas.

The line 2 will get you to Montmartre in only two stops, or if you keep on, all the way to the Champs Elysées.

Being on the 7th floor, you'll be happy to know there is an elevator. The apartment is generally very quiet, both during the day and at night. It is well heated in the winter, and because the building is central heated, you don't need to worry about turning it on or off.
