Located in Berlin’s center by Frankfurter Tor, east of Alexander Platz and Berlin’s historical center. The Karl-Marx Allee / Frankfurter Allee (former Stalin Allee) was considered East Berlin’s Grand Boulevard and has been recently granted the status of architectural monument.
The excellent infrastructure of this area provides cafés, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, farmer's-market, flea-market and stores.

Other Things to Note
The fall of the Berlin wall has set in motion an explosion of city development. Unequalled in Europe with 270 major building projects and countless building restorations in the former East Berlin, the city is a Mecca for architecture lovers: from the classicism of 19th century Schinkel to the ultra-modern by more than 150 internationally renowned architects.
Karl Marx Allee /Frankfurter Allee (initially called Stalin Allee) was a flagship building project of East Germany's reconstruction programme after World War II. It was designed by the architects Hermann Henselmann, Hartmann, Hopp, Leucht, Paulick and Souradny to contain spacious and luxurious apartments for plain workers, as well as shops, restaurants, cafés, a tourist hotel and an enormous cinema (the International). The boulevard later found favour with postmodernists: Philip Johnson describing it as 'true city planning on the grand scale', while Aldo Rossi called it 'Europe's last great street. Since German reunification most of the buildings, including the two towers, have been restored.
It is the biggest monument of Europe.
We provide a high-end apartment and wish you a blessed stay. Unfortunately this is a “non-smoking apartment”. Luckily for smoking a balcony is provided.
Our host was there on arrival to make us feel very welcome and show us the ropes. A minor misunderstanding on sleeping arrangements was dealt with quickly and with zero fuss. The apartment itself was gorgeous - clean, warm, comfortable with very stylish design features, a great shower and fantastic fridge which dispensed filter water and ice cubes.
We felt like a couple of very cool Berliners!
There are also public transport and other facilities very close to the apartment and central Berlin is a short taxi ride.
Thanks very much great stay. Note this is a 2 bed flat although we thought it was 4 bed, but heike made up a good extra bed. Good location although not central. Good breakfast place very near about 3 shops along . Good shower / bath! Thanks
Very nice house, good location.
I 'm truly satisfied.
Super apartment in very interesting convenient area . Perfectly positioned for u bahn and adequate local amenities ....... Happy to recommend without reservation
Really nice and well kept flat. We felt very much at home. Felix who performed the handover for Heike was very friendly and forthcoming.
Currently the face of the building, front and back, is being renovated with scaffolding in place in front of all windows in the flat. The construction (noise) did not bother us as we were up early and on the go most of the day.
alles super und nur zu empfehlen, eine tolle und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung. Übergabe flexibel und pünktlich, obwohl spät abends.
Vielen Dank, Heike!!!
