What a gem, quietly tucked away, yet just a short walk to town. We found the property quiet, relaxing and well cared for. The studio was larger than we expected. We would rent again!
I loved this place. I arrived on a brisk October afternoon and the heat was set to a comfortable temperature when I arrived. Best of all I was able to control the temperature as I liked over the course of the weekend (key for me). The space was well furnished, nicely decorated, quiet and clean. It had everything I could want. While settling in I did have a question for Rick and he answered his phone immediately when I called. I would definitely stay here again.
The garden studio apt. was perfect for our needs. Other rooms could be a bit noisy; but not unbearable. The 'shared' bathroom didn't seem to be used by anyone else. Rick was quick to respond to any requests, and it was a great experience overall.
Rick was great and accommodated our late evening arrival. The garden apartment was perfect, just what we were looking for.
I stayed a long weekend in October at Richard's studio apartment .. it was very cute and clean .. It was close enough to town .. but far enough away to just relax ... Richard was always available ... had trouble with TV .. fixed it for me ... I am excited about staying there again in the summer for a week ... Richard was so nice he gave me a great deal for the weekend to make sure I would like the accommodations before I commit to my big vacation ... overall a great experience .. I highly recommend this property and give much praise to the host Richard ....
wonderful weekend !!!!
Richard was a great host. Though we stayed for one night, we loved the experience. Would love to come back....
The Garden Studio was a great place to stay. Located only 5-10min walking distance to the main street with all the bars and restaurants. We just stayed 1 night and although we have never met Rick, he made our stay very comfortable. Clean and nice room, easy check-in, check-out with immediate reply to calls and messages. We had a little trouble finding the house as it was really late and dark when we arrived. But maybe more an issue with our car navigation system. We can really recommend staying at Rick´s house. Thank you Rick!
I really enjoyed staying at Rick's. He was so gracious, easy-going, and accommodating. The bed was perfect, bathroom and apartment very clean, and the space itself was very quiet. It's a quick walk or bike to the heart of things, and there's plenty of space to park a bike if you rent one. I had forgotten a beach towel, and when I asked if there was a spot to buy towels which he recommended, he just loaned me one of his. Another plus, everything in the apartment was in good working order.
Rick's property & home were beautiful, pics and descriptions are accurate. I didn't love the extensive cleanup checklist left in rooms (including stripping beds, starting laundry, etc) because I think those duties are part of hosting an AirBNB but it was not a huge deal. I would stay here again.
Richard's Garden Studio is the place you may never want to leave. The single room is well-equipped, clean and tastefully decorated with original works of art by local artists. There is a garden area and although it was too cool to spend evenings outside while I was there, I did notice that there was a barbecue. The house is located on a quiet dead end street but just three blocks up from Commercial street and a 15-minute walk from the beginning of the National Seashore Park, from there 1.8 miles on beautiful trails by bike or on foot to Race Point beach. Richard himself is a great host who goes the extra mile for his guests. He picked me up at the ferry when I arrived from Boston and allowed me to leave my bags before I checked in and then again, on the day of my departure, after I checked out. Stay at Richard's and you will have a very nice vacation in P-town.
