About this listing
I have long dreamed of opening a B&B and calling it The Be Well Hotel. That's the vibe in my home. Wellness. The master bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed with down comforter and comfy pillows. Your bathroom has an oversized tub with separate shower. My home is environmentally friendly and filtered water is always available. You can use the microwave, tea kettle and coffee pot in the kitchen. I provide freshly ground coffee, teas, half 'n half, honey and an assortment of tea and muffins.
I do have a two night stay requirement.
Iron and ironing board and hairdryer are available upon request. If you'd like to use my old Mac computer let me know and I will be happy to set it up for you on the desk. (no printer) If the scent of burning incense bothers you, let me know and i'll be sure not to light any 24 hours before your stay.
Feel free to do yoga in the spacious living room. I get the Gaiam Channel through the Roku or if you bring your laptop, i recommend a computer site called "Do Yoga with Me". You're also welcome to watch TV in the parlor. (Netflix and Hula Plus are available) Complementary WI Fi lets you stream from your laptop.
Please be sure to provide me with your profile information as that makes booking your stay faster and easier. Also let me know if you have a particular purpose in mind for the visit and I might be able to provide more information for your stay. Thanks.
Location is excellent for bicycle cruising and walks with safe neighborhoods and low traffic. This is a modular home park and my home is located along the creek so you might be sipping coffee in the cozy garden and spot the fox and her two kits or the doe and fawn who regularly cruise by. We often get cooler breezes blowing through here so keep a sweater handy even in the summer. If it's a sizzling summer day, there's central air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable.
I enjoy sharing my home with visitors and will make you feel at home, the minute you walk through the door. I spend a lot of time in my office/studio but am always a knock (or if I'm out, a text message/cell phone call) away.
You will be a five minute drive from downtown Sonoma, ten/fifteen minutes from Glen Ellen and/or Sonoma wineries, 15-20 minutes to Napa or Hwy 101 and Petaluma.
So relax, refresh and rejuvenate in lovely Sonoma Valley.
This is a quiet neighborhood. It is an 55+ modular home development that is beautifully landscaped.
There is a bus you can catch from Waughtmaugh. Cabs are also reliable and inexpensive.
Rule #1: Pamper yourself and enjoy yourself.
Other Rules: No smoking indoors and no candles except on the shelf of the bathtub. Sorry no pets.
Please drink wine & other beverages (that can stain a carpet) in the dining area or out on the porch or in the garden.
Smoking is permitted in the garden or around the table on the front porch.
Bring your own detergent for washing clothes. Although I provide shampoo, soap and conditioner, they are in large economy sizes. Please leave out for the next guests.
You may use the toaster oven only.
In general be respectful of hostess and home
Antonia was a fabulous host and has an amazing home. It was wonderful to be a guest in her home and get to know her. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Sonoma.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience while staying with Antonia!! She was very accommodating and helpful. Her home is very cozy and relaxing! My stay was everything I was looking for when booking and I can't wait to stay again when I return to Sonoma (:
Host was very attentive and paid attention to detail. She was easy to talk to and neighborhood was quiet.
I absolutely loved staying in Antonia's home. I only wish I could have spent more time there. I was so busy with wedding events that I was only there for short intervals. I was provided with muffins and coffee, which was a nice touch. The community is very quiet and relaxing. Antonia was very helpful with things to check out in Sonoma, and very easy to work with. The location was great. Super close to everything, including Sonoma Square. I absolutely fell in love with Sonoma, and I can't wait to go there again. I would highly recommend the Artful Nest to anyone traveling to wine country.
Antonia's place is beautiful, clean, cozy and full of her positive energy. Most comfortable bed ever and a nice tub! I stayed at Antonia's for a weekend with my boyfriend and we had a great time! We had our privacy but I truly enjoyed interacting with her as well. She is great, easy to communicate with and someone you can have an interesting conversation with. Even though the place isn't in the center you have options - a cab or an Uber and honestly, it felt nice to be in a residential, quite area. Sonoma is gorgeous, Antonia is very sweet so I am definitely going back!
Antonia's home was cozy and the bed was quite comfortable. It's not walking distance from downtown Sonoma, but it's just a few minutes by car. Thanks for the muffins (even took one with us for the plane ride back)! Everything was as described and clean.
About the Host, Antonia
I'm artsy and friendly, intelligent and down to earth. I work as a concierge for a local Inn and interact with travelers from all over the world. Renting my spare bedroom to people visiting the area is an interesting concept. I've lived with roommates before so I know how to respect other people's space. My Italian mother was a West Virginia girl who taught me the meaning of real southern (and Italian) hospitality. I am over 50 and live in an adult community and welcome all age visitors, however I do feel that guests over 35 would best appreciate and respect the quiet neighborhood.
Come enjoy wine country!
