Room was ready as promised. Host left wine passes and parking permit for Bodega bay which was a real time saver. Breakfasts were as promised with fruit and quiche or something else with fruit. We ate outside on the deck facing a vineyard. Sebastopol is a small community and the location is between Bodega bay and Sonoma. Host gave suggestions for restaurants and routes that were helpful. No a/c, so one night there it was very warm since the room was upstairs. The other 2 nights were fine and we actually had to close windows.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway for the weekend and Carol's place proved to be the perfect choice! While the house itself is beautiful with amazing views, the location is extremely convenient with easy access to downtown and a bunch of great Russian River wineries.
Carol is a gracious host and a cornucopia of wonderful suggestions of things to do around the area. She went the extra mile to make sure that we were comfortable in her home and served us delicious breakfast in the morning! All in all, we were overwhelmed with the warmth and affection with which we were hosted. I highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway from the city.
I booked the Wine Country Artist Haven for my boyfriend's parents, and they had a wonderful experience. Carol was friendly and attentive and offered a tea and a small breakfast in the morning. The room was spacious and the location was beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in the countryside close to a small town and close to the northern California beaches.
We really enjoyed the stay at Carol's. Location, hospitality and scenery could not be better for someone visiting western Sonoma County!
Wow, what a great place! Carol, our host, was very welcoming, warm, friendly and extremely helpful. We selected this property when planning travel to CA for a wedding. This was our first Airbnb experience and our expectations were greatly exceeded! From the bed oh so comfortable, to the breakfast oh so delicious!
The property is nestled among grapevines with beautiful panoramic views and convenient to downtown Sebastopol. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to our next visit with Carol!
Carol was a delight to live with, really amicable and warm. Her house was in a league of its own. Covered in quaint and tasteful art of her own creation, every room felt like home. Now let's talk about the big selling point: THE VIEW. It panoramic scenes of wine country, the hills, and miniature ponies that can sometimes be seen grazing in the distance. It feels like a fairy tale come to life. I could not have enjoyed my stay more, strongly recommend!!
We had a wonderful time as houseguests of Carol's. She prepared a lovely breakfast for us every morning and was available to answer any questions about the area that we might have. I would highly recommend staying here to our friends.
About the Host, Carol
I have been a full time Artist for 30 years, and have the luxury of having my studio at my home, the kids grown and gone. I work at a winery a couple days a week and meet people from all over the world and decided it would be so much fun to share my home with some of them.
I will be there to plan and guide your wine country adventure.
So if it is a wine country experience or just the comfort of home away from home you desire come stay and be spoiled.
