It's furnished with an overly comfortable king sized bed, a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender and a hot plate. Also has a 32 inch flat screed TV, cable, internet. We provide towels, hair dryer, curling irons, Iron, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand lotion. Separated from the rest of the house with a locked door.

Interaction with Guests
When I'm not traveling I work from home...time together varies based on what the guests prefers. We are happy to spend time together but also understand that some may prefer more privacy. We are happy either way. One note-we are also travelers and when we are not here we offer self check in/check out.
The neighborhood is residential-safe and quiet. We are walking distance to several restaurants. An easy bicycle or scooter ride to many restaurants/movies/shopping/banks. To get to tourist areas such as the Everglades, Keys, Miami Beach a car would be useful.
There's a bus route on the street directly behind the home. It can get you most places including the metro. If a taxi is required we would need to call for service. Budget and Avis are within walking distance. We have parking for one car-if more than one we would need to make arrangements. We are 16 miles from the Miami Airport, 22 from Miami Beach, 18 from southern everglades, 15 from Shark Valley, 23 miles from the keys and right in the middle of all those attraction.
Other Things to Note
There is a quirky thing with the shower. The Hot is cold and the cold is hot. I guess it was hooked up incorrectly....but shower does have both Hot and cold water :) We have a little Pomeranian who will love you.
We request no smoking in the home, outdoors is fine. No glass in the pool area-the room has plastic glassware available. The yard is yours to enjoy but no friends/visitors permitted. Thanks and happy travels.
Mary Jo was an amazing host. Very flexible. We only came late due to our delayed flight, but we felt home right away!!! Relaxed in the Jacuzzi and we felt so much better after a long flight. Would definitely book again here next time I will be around.
Mary Jo made us feel extremely welcome. Our room was exactly as described, and then some! We arrived somewhat later in the evening after a day full of traveling and while it took a couple tries to find the house, Mary Jo let us know exactly how to get to our room so we could get settled. We met another lovely couple that was staying the night and they had more than wonderful things to say about Mary Jo. Our room was absolutely beautiful (bed was incredibly comfortable). The next morning we were greeted by the infamous Milo and finally got to meet Mary Jo. The pool and surrounding flowers/foliage were breathtaking as we had our breakfast out by the pool. Another great perk was the shower -- with its awesome water pressure. (Again, remember that the hot water is cold and the cold water is hot) We couldn't have asked for a better home to stay at or a better host!
Mary Jo and Marlene were wonderful hosts, they were so welcoming and helpful. I was travelling alone so it was nice to feel safe and at ease. I would definitely recommend staying with them. Thanks to both of you.
Did not get to meet Mary Jo as she was out of town. The room was well stocked, very clean.... They have a beautiful pool area with private entrance and bathroom. Everything was perfect, highly recommended!
Mary Jo was (email hidden)e place was as described...her partner and friends were lovely.
very nice experience.
MaryJo was great host on our stay. We enjoyed our visit very much and will look forward to staying with them again.
Ah-May-Zing! My husband and I stayed for 4 nights with Mary Jo and Marlene and had an awesome time! We felt very welcomed and comfortable before we even arrived and it only got better from there. These ladies have A+ hospitality!!
The yard is an urban oasis with plenty of space to relax. We especially loved the hot tub! It was a little cool for swimming, but it was still nice to dip our feet in the pool after sitting in the sun. It was fun to try the different sitting areas and views of their beautiful plants and flowers. We also enjoyed the fire pit. My husband had a nice nap in the hammock!
Milo is a wonderful bonus and we really enjoyed his company since we were missing our puppies we left at home.
The room had plenty of space and the bed was super comfy! If we weren't so excited to go sight seeing we could easily have stayed in bed.
Recommendations for other guests:
Have breakfast at La Carreta and try the Cafe. I haven't drank coffee in 5 years but I decided to try this and it was delicious!
Two Brothers pizza doesn't look like much from the outside but is very quaint and authentic Italian inside. The pizza was very good but the star of the meal were these melt in your mouth buttery garlic rolls. Yum!
If you like the beach, the drive to South Beach is not too far and we had a wonderful time walking the beach and looking at all the boats in the marina.
Last but not least for my birthday we drove down to Key West and rented jet skiis from Fury Adventures. I cannot recommend this enough, if you like adventure you will not be disappointed. We purchased a package with snorkeling and the ride out on the catamaran was really gorgeous!
We had an overall amazing experience on this mini-vacation and I cannot think of any complaints.
Mary Jo and Marlene made us feel like family and it was so nice to go out and explore/sight see/have adventures then come home to relax. I can't wait to go back!
