The home was lovely and designed perfectly for grandparents with their adult children and grandchildren. The rooms are very generous size and the kitchens are very well equipped. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and there is a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier from the front deck. The location is ideal. We hopefully will stay at "Steps to Downtown Olympia" again soon.
Our host was wonderful....Margaret was there when we showed up, allowed us use of the garage for our two cars, even left us part of a cake to enjoy! The house was spacious, clean, walkable to downtown, nice deck for eating, and with a great view of both downtown and Mt Rainier. Kitchen facilities and barbecue worked well, with plenty of dishes and cooking/serving ware. Beds were comfortable with "pillow-top" on some (maybe all) of the (email hidden) dad planned to get one when he got home (best sleep he'd had in awhile)! It was the perfect setting for what our family's three generations of "guys" had in mind for a golf weekend.
We had an excellent stay at Margaret's place in Downtown Olympia. They were extremely inviting and made us feel welcome and taken care of long before we even arrived. They accommodated our family in every way possible and were always available to answer even the simplest of questions. The location was ideal, truly a short walk from Downtown Olympia and the Capitol and the neighborhood was lovely. The accessibility would have been hard to beat! And even in the winter we were lucky enough to experience a perfect view of Mt. Rainer out on the balcony on several occasions, a real treat. I would highly recommend this place for a short or long term visit to Olympia!
Have only wonderful things about our stay at this airbnb listing starting with the owners, they made us feel very welcome despite our arriving several hours late due to plane & aeroporter delays. Our hosts were only a phone call away, but everything we needed was already provided.
Very spacious one bedroom tastefully furnished as shown in the pictures but what they can't show is how comfortable the beds are or fluffy the towels are or that paper products are provided, & seasonings to cook with at your finger tips. The kitchen had full sized appliances & even a dishwasher, also in suite washer/dryer. The beautifully landscaped outdoor space was nice for morning coffee, evening drinks or using the gas grill for an evening meal while enjoying a view of Mt Rainer.
Location was perfect for our daily walk down the hill to Capital Lake, Percival Landing, grocery store, Olympic Seafood Company, farmers market & all the downtown shops, bars & restaurants. Day trips to Westport and the Pacific beaches, Nisqually wildlife refuge, Hamma Hamma in Hoodsport for oysters, Lake Cushman, & Mt Rainer hiking were all easily accessible from this central location.
Won't stay anywhere else when we visit family in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for a wonderful vacation experience.
My hosts immediately made me feel right at home. They were very helpful as I settled in and made it known that I could contact them if I needed ANYTHING at all. The apartment was very lovely inside and out. It was very close to all the places I wanted to visit.
This was a fabulous place to stay during our 2 month stay in olympia. The location could not have been better as we walked everywhere (farmer's market, restaurants, festivals). Beautifully decorated and well stocked house. They have a beautiful garden outside your porch and a wonderful view of Mt Rainier, when it's out of course. Fabulous hosts just a tough driveway to walk up and down but you get used to that.
