About this listing
Creative Suite -Stunningly beautiful and spacious Artists Treehouse on 2 acres of lush bushland, only 4 mins from town, 10-15 mins from the nearest beach, 20-25 mins to Byron Bay. Overlooking the mountain ranges, surrounded by forest and birdsong. Come and enjoy a tranquil haven for some peaceful respite and relaxation.
The Creative Room has a meditative, peaaceful feel, where guests comment with surprise, on waking up, how they 'slept like babies', feel refreshed and rejuvenated before even gravitating to the kitchen to make yourself a nice cup of tea or fresh coffee, which you can help yourself to on the shelf near the kettle. It has its own door outside to the verandah, overlooking the Great Grandfather Fig Tree, and garden.
What makes it unique? It has a magnificent nurturing Grandfather fig tree right in the middle of the land bringing healing to all those who stay here! Crystals Galore in the land, garden and house to cleanse and revitalise you during your stay…
The room has a Queen size bed for 2 people to sleep. A second bed is available, and is a comfy (but not too soft!) single mattress which I can make up for you, and add the bed base if you require it to be off the floor. I do not leave it there permanently, because there is of course more space in the room should you not require more than one big bed. Please let me know in advance if you need this extra single bed, and if you would like a raised single bed, or happy with a mattress on the floor.
We will be sharing the beautiful, spacious bathroom, and the living areas. As it is a very spacious house, you will still be able to have peace to yourself to read your book, or enjoy meditating with the exquisite nature around you.
Guests can relax in the living areas inside and outside verandah sofas, the expansive garden with its swing, wooden chairs and table, and lawn to lie on under a tree, land, and forest, the kitchen to cook if they would like to, and to feel as much at home as possible. So many options of spaces in the spacious living area on the wooden floor, on the verandah, out in the back or front garden, in the forest....for doing Chi Gong/ Tai Chi/ Yoga Practice/ Stretches/ Belly Dancing etc! This newly Eco-refurbished bedroom is the other side of the house to the verandah, with a window view of the side garden, and natural rocks!
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to socialise if the guests would like to get to know the locals, or to know more about the area. I am also more than happy to give the guests the space and freedom that they need for a relaxing, peaceful holiday or time out.
The neighbourhood is beautiful, friendly, kind and easy-going. There are several yummy eateries around the area, Kiva Spa, Crystal Castle 10 mins away, parks, hikes, etc....
The house is 3.5 kms from the town, so about a 45 min walk, so a car would give you a lot more independence. There are a few buses to and from Mullumbimby to other close by towns,
Other Things to Note
I am also a Reiki practitioner, and can give some peaceful, healing sessions at your own leisure during your stay at The Treehouse (only $50 for guests, for just over an hour, usually $70)...in the comfort of your room, or outside on the verandah surrounded by nature's greenery in particular is really magical, with crystals..... : ) Many come back for another one! : )
Also, as it obviously gets a bit chilly in the cooler months, I recommend that you bring some slippers or nice, thick woolly socks for your feet, since it is a shoes-off house. A warm jumper or wrap-around wouldn't go amiss either! : )
Enjoy reading the books, but I like them to stay within the property during their stay, so that they don't get dog-eared at the beach, and so that other guests can also benefit from the wide range of books that I have! : )
Smoking only allowed outside, in the chill out area (ashtray available), or anywhere in the main garden...that way the smoke smell doesn't infiltrate through the other windows into the house! Thank you! : )
Please leave your shoes by the door, inside…it's nice to come home and relax, and leave the outside dirt and energy at the door!… : )
Happy for you to use the kitchen, but please be Mindful that you Clean Up after yourselves, which means Wash, Dry and Put Away any dishes, utensils etc that you use, clean the stove and counter top if relevant, sweep the floor if you dropped food (dustpan & brush and old sponge if necessary under kitchen sink), and leave the sink as you found it, including any food bits that got caught in the drain catcher after washing up. Thank you for respecting my kitchen, so I don't have to clean up after your cooking!
If you plan to do a lot of cooking, please bring your own condiments, oils, spices etc. There is a special guest fridge shelf (the middle one) with room for you to store your kitchen things. I don't mind if you've forgotten something, and you need to use a little bit of something of mine, happy to share, just ask, but I just wanted to put it out there. I am sure that you understand, as I have a lot of guests who come through here! : )
If you need to check in late, that is absolutely fine, but there is a late night fee of $20 if it is after 9pm. : )
Children who are 2 years old and above are counted as extra guests because they also use water, linen, make mess, etc. So when you book, make sure that you include them....and don't forget…..they are very welcome here! : )
