Creative Suite -Stunningly beautiful and spacious Artists Treehouse on 2 acres of lush bushland, only 3 mins from town, 10 mins from the beach, 20 mins to Byron Bay. Overlooking the mountain ranges, surrounded by forest and birdsong. Come and enjoy a tranquil haven for some peaceful respite and relaxation.
What makes it unique? It has a magnificent nurturing Grandfather fig tree right in the middle of the land bringing healing to all those who stay here! Crystals Galore in the land, garden and house to cleanse and revitalise you during your stay.
The room has a Queen size bed for 2 people to sleep. A second bed is available, and is a comfy (but not too soft!) single mattress which I can make up for you, and add the bed base if you require it to be off the floor. I do not leave it there permanently, because there is of course more space in the room should you not require more than one big bed. Please let me know in advance if you need this extra single bed, and if you would like a raised single bed, or happy with a mattress on the floor.
Guests can relax in the living areas inside and outside, the expansive garden with its swing chairs and lawn to lie on under a tree, land, and forest, the kitchen to cook if they would like to, and to feel as much at home as possible. So many options of spaces in the spacious living area on the wooden floor, on the verandah, out in the back or front garden, in the forest....for doing your dancing / Tai Chi/ Yoga Practice/ Stretches/ Belly Dancing etc ! This newly Eco-refurbished bedroom is the other side of the house to the verandah, with a window view of the side garden, and natural rocks!
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to socialise if the guests would like to get to know the locals, or to know more about the area. I am also more than happy to give the guests the space and freedom that they need for a relaxing, peaceful holiday or time out. I can produce art materials for some playful or serious creativity. I am also a Reiki practitioner, and can give some healing sessions for you any time during your stay...outside on the verandah surrounded by nature's greenery in particular is really magical, with crystals..... : )
The neighbourhood is beautiful, friendly, kind and easy-going. There are several yummy eateries around the area, Kiva Spa, Crystal Castle 10 mins away, parks, hikes, etc....
There are a few buses to and from Mullumbimby to close by towns, but a car would give you a lot more independence
Other Things to Note
I am also an experienced Reiki practitioner, and guests may have a peaceful session with me at their own leisure during their stay at The Treehouse. Many come back for another one! : )
Enjoy reading the books, but I like them to stay within the property during their stay, so that they don't get dog-eared at the beach, and so that other guests can also benefit from the wide range of books that I have! : )
Please leave your shoes by the door, inside or outside…it's nice to come home and relax, and leave the outside dirt and energy at the door!… : )
Happy for you to use the kitchen, but please be mindful that you clean up after yourselves, which means wash, dry and put away any dishes, utensils etc that you use, clean the stove and counter top if relevant, sweep the floor if you dropped food (dustpan & brush and old sponge if necessary under kitchen sink), and leave the sink as you found it, including any food bits that got caught in the drain catcher after washing up. Thank you for being mindful!
If you plan to do a lot of cooking, please bring your own condiments, oils, spices etc. There is a special guest shelf and fridge shelf with room for you to store your kitchen things. I don't mind if you've forgotten something, and you need to use a little bit of something of mine, happy to share, but I just wanted to put it out there. I am sure that you understand! : )
If you need to check in late, that is absolutely fine, but there is a late night fee of $20 if it is after 9pm. : )
Children who are 2 years old and above are counted as extra guests because they also use water, linen, make mess, eat breakfast etc. So when you book, make sure that you include them....and don't forget…..they are very welcome here! : )
Very nice place. Well maintained and the room is spacious and very clean
I felt welcomed by Christelle as soon as I arrived. She showed me around and let me settle in. Christelle was around to offer advice on the area and to ensure I got the best experience from my stay. Communication was great before and during my stay. I had a relaxing peaceful time.
What a lovely stay I had at Christelle's. Such a beautiful, unique house with a wonderful outlook over the Mullumbimby Creek valley. 5 minutes drive to town. Nice, clean and comfortable room. Christelle herself is a warm and friendly person who made my stay even better.
Wonderful kind host and her sweet little boy. House is located in the beautiful hills of mullumbimby, which the trade-off is that you need a car to get around. It's quiet, peaceful, great views and lots of crystals. Room is simple, but good value. Worth noting that there's one bathroom to share with other guests and host family, but it seems to work! :)

I am a creative, slightly eccentric (but who isn't?!) artist, and I love to paint, dance, read, walk in nature, and good healthy food.
Travelling is another passion and have visited many countries in many continents, and revel in meeting people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
I like to chat and socialise, and spend time on my own, as I am pretty independent. I appreciate and respect the privacy of guests, whether they would like to socialise and get to know a local, or just to be in their own space, and to feel right at home.
Life is to be lived, and follow the pleasure...this is the new meditation!
