The space
Guests will love the classic lodge feel of this place, with mid-century furnishings, 2 story limestone fireplace, wagon wheel light fixture and knotty pine walls. Favorite spot for all is spacious wrap around screen porch, with views of Lake Ripley. The porch has a full-sized futon and roll-down canvas awnings for shade and privacy.

Both bedrooms have handmade quilts, reading lamps and local artwork. Bath has large, tiled in shower, and new dual flush toilet. Kitchen has a full sized fridge, four burner stove, microwave, toaster and blender.

We are close to bike and hiking trails, paddling opportunities, wineries, brew pubs and restaurants. UW Madison and all the capitol city has to offer within a 30 minute drive. Jefferson County has quaint downtowns and quirky, fun eating, drinking and entertainment establishments.

Guest access
Entire 2-bedroom cottage; Great room, screen porch, yard with fire pit, Adirondack chairs, gas grill, full kitchen. I am a designer; interiors and residential architecture. I specialize in the Arts & Crafts style, but love good design, no matter what style. I'm also the director of a Non-profit in a historic building. I've traveled in Italy, India and Ireland, and have been influenced by all. I like to think I travel light, but I also like to shop, so... Our cottage is a WPA-Era, CCC-style cabin, and I've enjoyed furnishing it with Mid-Century Modern finds, whether they be from thrift stores, purchased from friends, or found through other sources. I can't live without color, texture, fresh air, good music and good food. The Fort Atkinson Club, where I work, is a 1913, Arts & Crafts style building on the Rock River, and is a community center and event space, with a vintage two-lane bowling alley.
