Cedro 1 Apartment is located in a beautiful seventeenth century building, in Vicolo del Cedro 21, right in the heart of Trastevere one of the most famous and popular areas of Rome.
Based on the ground floor of the building, this 40 square meters lovely flat is fully furnished and equipped.
It sleeps up to 3 people with a double bedroom, a living room complete with a sofa bed, a dining room with a fully equipped kitchen-cabinet, wooden table with 4 seatings, bathroom with en-suite shower, towels and toiletries.
The accommodation offers satellite TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, central heating and a shared terrace of 70 sq with deck chairs and sun loungers.
Trastevere, the heart of the city, home to major Italian dialectical poet Gioachino Belli and the inspiration for another, Trilussa. It is precisely here that Roman plebeians were born and raised. Amid piazzas, its “Fontanone” fountain and cobblestoned streets, the “Trasteverini” led in ancient times the lives of the common people, whose pride and sincere character as well as beautiful women set them apart from the “nobility”. Today the district is still amongst Rome’s most beautiful and characteristic: the hub of nightlife and wining and dinning, an open air theatre of marvellous piazzas (Piazza Trilussa, Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, Piazza San Cosimato ..), churches and historical alleys, all of which are marked by that distinctive timeless “Roman” flavour.
There is nothing more pleasant than an evening stroll through Testaccio, the working-class district, situated between Via Marmorata, the Aurelian Walls and the River Tiber, where true Roma soccer supporters are born and bred. Sense the rather original atmosphere of a zone heaving with restaurants, bars and clubs, making the area around Monte Testaccio highly popular with night-lifers.
The Monte dei Cocci, or Monte Testaccio, is a real and proper “waste tip”, an artificial mound dating from the Roman era rising in the very heart of the city. The ancient Romans in fact used to dump their broken pieces of pottery and fragments of oil amphorae which had arrived for market and been unloaded at the nearby river port on the Tiber. This gathering pile of earthenware over time swelled into a hill, where today a pleasant stroll may be taken hunting for exciting relics dating from the third century A.D. Then in the following centuries, grottos were dug, used as cellars and stables, which have been turned into restaurants and disco-pubs, popular haunts for the nightlifers.

A very good apartment for us (a couple) with perfect location in Trastevere. The host responded quickly and precise. We was met at the apartment exactly on time with a very kind and efficient welcome. I'll go back.
Sebastian met us as soon as we arrived in Rome and he was most welcoming and helpful about the region, where to eat, what to see etc. and gave us a map of Rome. He and Sabrina were contactable the whole time we stayed.
Thank you for your suggestions and I will provide to buy wine glasses and resolve the problem with the airconditionning. In Trastevere we cannot install the motor for the airconditionning out of the buildind and it's very long for the tube to reach the terrace.
Thank you again
The apartment is well located. Though a bit noisy. Lots of restaurants around. Roof terrace is nice. Good apartment with beautiful furniture, but noisy air conditioning. But there were cockroaches in the apartment! We reported this to Sabrina. She offered to move to another apartment in the same building. While in the apartment there is a struggle with cockroaches. A few days later, we moved again to this apartment. This gave us uncomfortable (two moved in 9 days). However, the problem has not disappeared. This situation with cockroaches and move very spoiled the experience of the trip. Sabrina quickly responded to our requests.
We had a fantastic time in Rome, and really enjoyed staying at this apartment in Trastevere. The location was perfect, walking distance from all of the major tourist attractions: the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, etc.
The apartment itself was fine. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had a nice refrigerator, plates and eating utensils, and the bathroom/shower was small but sufficient. The building has a nice rooftop terrace, which we used on hot afternoons for a glass of wine or to play cards, read and relax.
Thank you for your feedback. I know very well the problem with the insect and It was better that you called me when you were at cedro 1. After you we had another guest and a big problem. We had to do two pestcontrols..
You are very kind and I hope to meet you the next time in Rome
Thank you again and sorry for the inconvenience
We realy enjoyed staying at Sabrina's. It is a lovely neighborhood en we have eaten in very cute restaurants. Sabrina's place is clean and perfect for a few days stay in Rome; the most wonderful place is the world!
This is the perfect apartment! Sabrina was a wonderful host and Sebastian who greeted us was very helpful and accommodating. The apartment has everything you need for a few days in Rome. Trastevere is the perfect neighborhood in Rome, across the street from all the tourist sites and yet authentic and local. The sandwich place downtairs called "Pianostrada" was perfect for lunch, food was fresh and the girls who run the place are absolutely charming! I wish I could thank them again here. It was difficult finding a place for dinner because its always fully booked so I suggest reserving in advance. The only negative I can share is that the shower was very small and a bit uncomfortable. I kept knocking my elbows :) I will be returning to this apartment every time I'm in Rome. Thank you Sabrina.
A very good location, in a great area. It made you feel like a local in Rome!
