Please, no smoking inside the apartment. NO SMOKING inside the apartment is an absolute non-negotiable.
This apartment is a home and I am opening it up to you! I ask for a nothing more than for you treat it with the respect that you would give your own home and surroundings. This is a NO SMOKING apartment/building. So smoking would need to take place out the main door on the sidewalk. Extra guests during your stay is upon my approval only as the apartment only accommodates three people comfortably. All parting must commence outside of the apartment.

Full disclosure: This was my first experience staying at an AirBNB host site. Still I do know a few things about hospitality and I would categorize Jase as an excellent host. I didn't just crash in his spare bedroom. He has thought of a hundred ways to make a guest feel welcomed and taken care of. The room is bright and creatively decorated. The bed, the pillows, the sheets are luxurious. Linens are bountiful. Everything is clean, clean, clean. Every morning a beautiful breakfast was set out - delicious croissant pastries, fruit, breakfast bars, nuts - coffee could be made. I didn't really cook in the kitchen, but it was available to me. Jade's kitchen is a study in the efficient use of space. Next time I would love to try it out.
Jase and his boyfriend were occupying the second bedroom of the apartment, but I could never tell if they were home or not. I felt like I had the whole place to myself. Williamsburg is a wonderful area of Brooklyn. So much within walking distance and, of course, the subway station is nearby. Jade's place is on the third floor of a beautiful old building that does not have an elevator, so keep that in mind if stairs are an issue. All in all, I give Jase a big thumbs up for creating a very welcoming and comfortable space for his guests. I hope to return.
I had a wonderful time at Jase's place, one of my best Airbnb experiences so far (and much much better than a previous one in Manhattan!). Didn't see much of Jase since we were both busy but he seemed like a lovely, very genuine and warm person. Location is convenient to the train and the bars of Williamsburg, room is VERY quiet and has a desk, a wardrobe, and easy chair and a full length mirror - everything you need. Comfortable bed. Cute squirrels outside the window. The apartment isn't very large (but that's normal in NY) but really nicely decorated. Loved the kitchen with all the stuff you need to cook a meal. Breakfast was great too. The only tiny negative was that the bathroom was very small with no space to store any of my toiletries, but in the grand scheme of things it didn't really matter. There were actually cute travel size complementary toiletries which did have their own little shelf in the bathroom, so the necessities are there. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and would recommend Jase's place to anyone!
We had a great stay in New York! Jase had covered all bases :) The apartment was clean and warm and we had a great sleep in the super comfy bed. The location was great and was walking distance to the subway and local shops and restaurants. We would recommend Jase as a host to anybody visiting New York.
My wife and I stayed at Jase's place in December. The place was warm and comfortable. He keeps it in great condition and we felt very welcomed into his home. The room was small but comfy for the two of us. The bed is really comfortable and really that's all that matters after walking around the city all day! In terms of where the apartment is located in Brooklyn, it is about a 10-15 minute walk from all the cool bars and shops Bedford Ave has to offer. As a host, Jase is friendly and very happy to help you out if you need. We highly recommend his place for anyone wanting a comfortable and cosy pad to stay in. :)
Really welcoming hosts, a nice room! The room was comfortable and the hosts always ready to help. To be recommended!
Excelente!
Jase's apartment is tucked in the middle of Williamsburg, which is becoming known as a hipster central. It's a short 5-min stroll from two subway stations, which makes it convenient if you want to explore Manhattan.
The apartment is very well-appointed and nicely decorated; Jase really has talent. It's amazing how everything is arranged in a way that makes the optimal use of space. The guest room is also equipped with all amenities one would need/expect, and the bed is so comfortable it made it so tempting for me to sleep in instead of exploring NYC! Cleanliness was never an issue, as the apartment was always kept spotlessly clean when I was there. There's also a steady supply of fresh bread and nice pastries that Jase thoughtfully provides for his guest(s) every morning; I particularly enjoyed the almond cookies :)
Jase and Tom are wonderful hosts. They were always very responsive to my questions. They've also been living in NYC for quite some time, so they really know the city. I always enjoy staying with friendly hosts, as I enjoy a little conversation here and there, and Jase and Tom were very friendly indeed.
It was a very pleasant stay.
About the Host, Jase
I am a designer in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, who loves hosting in my home. I travel a great deal myself, and have always enjoyed staying in bed and breakfasts—not just for the unique spaces, but for the advantage of staying with a welcoming and knowledgable local. I hope to provide the same in my space and share my love for the neighborhood I choose to call home.
