  • I ran away to Jacksonville Beach for the 4th of July. It was based on the fireworks and this listing. The apartment was even better in person. There is plenty of space. The kitchen nook area is wonderful and the back patio with the citrus tree is a bonus. It's like a little oasis in the middle of the party. Once the 4th of July revellers left (on the 5th), it was a nice and quiet block. Wally was a terrific host. He helped me bring in my bags which was so sweet and gave me a few good pointers about the area. Whenever I texted him a question, he was quick to answer me back. If you are looking for a cozy place near the beach (2 blocks), I would highly suggest this apartment. It totally beats staying in a stuffy hotel.

  • Our host, Wally, was communicative, accommodating, and friendly. The little apartment was beautifully decorated, with lots of open area, comfortable chairs, excellent sheets, and good closet space. The location is 1 block from the beach, so it's perfect for a beach getaway. There were chairs and beach towels provided, which made things very easy. The small brick patio off the back is surrounded by citrus trees, jasmine vines, and date palms. All in all, the apartment feels like a private tropical sanctuary.

  • My colleague and I really enjoyed our stay at Wally's beach cottage, which was very cozy. It was a great location -- close to the beach and restaurants, etc. Wally was a great host and very responsive and helpful. He made the check in and check out process extremely easy. I'd recommend staying at this place to anyone!

  • My girlfriend (now fiance') and I loved our stay here at "chic, cool, elegant, love it!". It provided the perfect location to relax, enjoy each other's company, and spend some time on the beach. While on the trip Wally was great, super responsive when we had questions and he made sure we had everything we needed. The house is just a few steps from the beach and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance, so we rarely used our car. Wally even helped me with proposing to my girlfriend on the beach. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

  • Wally was a very friendly host. His beach cottage was the perfect home away from home and it truly was steps to the beach. We had a wonderful trip. Thanks for having us Wally!

  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Wally's Jax Beach apartment. It was perfect for two and a great location for walking to the beach, local restaurants and shops. This was our first Airbnb experience and it was just what we were looking for plus Wally made everything so easy. Thanks again Wally!
