This place is beyond amazing. Élise and her parents are amazing hosts, very accommodating and have a beautiful home. If there is any place to go for a vacation this would be it.

Wonderful and accommodating hosts. The location is excellent, in less than a minute walk you are at the beach. The narrow streets mean no traffic, no noise. Restaurants, bakery, little store just a minutes walk from the house. The train station is a 10 to 15 minute walk. The post office, market, more restaurants, shops, land marks, bank, maybe 5 to 7 minute walk. The house was roomy, quiet, clean, dishwasher, washing machine.... I would stay there again!

Upon our arrival in Collioure, Élise's parents welcomed us very warmly, giving helpful information about the house and the town. Élise also helped us out when we got lost finding the address. The house itself is beautiful, cozy, and the layout with its spiral staircase was very special. Situated on a calm pedestrian street, there are amazing mountain views from the top skylight! We stayed with our 2-year-old daughter, who adored the house. We especially appreciated the supplies provided, such as crib, high chair, games, and toys. Highly, highly, recommended home for a wonderful stay in Collioure.

This is a charming house in a medieval neighborhood less than a block from the beach in the beautiful small town, Collioure. A wide concrete path leads along the base of an enormous castle from the beach to the center of town. The house is four floors high, each floor containing one room. It has been beautifully rehabilitated and decorated with charm in antiques plus comfortable beds and chairs. I didn’t meet Elise although we communicated often via AirBnB. Her lovely mother, Biche, met me at the train, took me to the house and showed me all I needed to know. She gave me very helpful information about the town. Both ladies were very pleasant to me. The house is well supplied with everything I needed. Biche also arranged a ride for me to the train station when I departed. This place is a delightful love nest for a couple wanting a get-away in a small, seaside town. I would not recommend it for young children and older people. Being in one of those categories, I found the spiral staircase difficult to use comfortably. It’s made of iron with sharp edges and is rather narrow and steep. There’s no wi-fi or TV in this house. The tourist office allows one hour a day of free wi-fi. A restaurant by the bridge on the main street called Café Sola has free wi-fi and the only good and cheap lunch I found. I was here in winter so half the restaurants in town were closed, and those that were open offered only plated meals, crepes or salads at lunch time at prices I thought were high. There’s a bakery just “two steps” away from this house and two small markets with fresh fruit and veg. There’s also a good Carrefour market in the center of town. I truly appreciate the care Elyse and Biche put into making this little house very comfortable and the care they extended to me when I was their guest. Merci!

This is a lovely fisherman's cottage set on four tiny floors, connected by a metal spiral staircase. Élise was great and she has a lovely family. We were traveling with a baby and they had a pack and play which was helpful for us. She left us to get on with enjoying Collioure and was relaxed about check out. A lovely spot.

We were met exactly on-time by our host. This was much appreciated. He also spent time telling us about the local sites and showed us the location of convenient, free parking. The apartment has four levels that are connected by a spiral staircase. The staircase was difficult, even for young people. It would have been better had it been wider, but it was so narrow that one couldn't reasonably get carry-on sized suitcases from one floor to the next. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. All the appliances functioned and there was a cool retro boom box. The shower arrangement was odd. It was difficult to take a shower without getting the floor wet because the shower curtain didn't surround the enclosure. This was a minor issue. All-in-all I would rent again.

This is a great, charming rental. While there is not view of the water, it is on a quaint pedestrian street a half a block a way from the little swimming area and beach. There was a lot of space, albeit very vertical (be prepared to climb spiral stairs - there is one room on each floor - living room, kitchen/dining and then the two bedrooms each have their own floor) - so mobility is a must. We were a little frustrated by the kitchen (we love to buy market food and cook), as the pans were only ok and only half the burners worked on the stove - so while certain necessities were stocked, it was not too well-equipped. There is no wifi, but my husband was able to spend 15 euros to get a sometimes decent SFR connection for 5 days (we need wifi for planning trips). There is also no parking in a town with 24 hour paid parking and a high demand for spaces. We ended up paying 45 euros for a week-long parking pass that let us come and go from all the city lots (two of which are within a five minute walk). Despite those extra expenses, I still feel Elise's place is fairly well-priced. The city itself is beyond gorgeous and lovely, with excellent food, drink, hiking, swimming and shopping, and Elise's place is right in the middle of it all, plus an easy drive to Perpignan, Spain, the castles cathars, etc.

We are a french and australian couple with 2 young children. After living in Australia and in Denmark we are now based in the south of France. I love traveling, discovering new places and try and live "the local way", and love to show and share tips and places about my wonderful native area with visitors.
