Colorful 2BR in Downtown

House - Entire home/apt · East Martin Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, United States

My little bungalow is just blocks from Moore Square and all that dynamic Downtown Raleigh has to offer. Walk to restaurants, bars, museums, music amphitheater, the train station, and more in just minutes. Covered porch, chaise lounge included.

The Space

From painting the walls bright colors, to making funky pillows and curtains, to acquiring cool furniture, I've tried to make my house a great place to relax with friends, make dinner, listen to music, and even watch TV, and I hope you'll agree! But the real reason to stay here is its location.

My house is a cozy stay for three good friends or two couples, but it also doesn't feel too big if you're traveling alone.

Guest Access

You'll have the run of the place. There's a fully equipped kitchen

Interaction with Guests

I live here, but travel a fair amount. Right now I'm only renting the place when I'm out of town, so, sadly, I won't get to meet you! But you'll have the run of the place... with access to the fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, Apple TV, and my sweet tunes.

I don't often know my travel schedule more than two or three weeks out. So, please inquire about availability beyond a month or two from now, but I may not be able to confirm your reservation right away. In fact, I might just ask you to check back in later. Thanks for understanding my spur-of-the-moment lifestyle.

Getting around

Plenty of busses stop just half a block from the house; the Moore Square Transit Station and Amtrak are close, too.

  • Elizabeth went above and beyond in accommodating my group during our stay. Even though she was out of town, she made sure that we were taken care of while we were in town.

The house is colorful and charming, with a great selection of books to browse through and read on the covered porch on a rainy day. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, and fast wifi are all pluses. The location to downtown is convenient too - only a few minutes walk to downtown and right on several bus lines.

  • Very nice and comfy apartment, 2 blocks away from restaurants and bars in downtown Raleigh, the host is perfect and really makes you feel welcome. Highly recommended.

  • LOVED my stay! Elizabeth's house was so bright and cute! The location was in walking distance to a variety of restaurants and bars as well as art galleries! If you are in town on First Friday (the first Friday of every month) they have a really fun art walk along with drink specials and food specials at various restaurants. All within walking distance! I loved my weekend in Raleigh thanks to Elizabeth!

  • Wonderful stay! Elizabeth's home is a decidedly cool, charming, comfortable and well-appointed space. She was great to deal with - very clear and detailed communication. Central location, literally down the street from the concert venue I was going to and in walking distance from the bus station. While I didn't get to meet her in person, if her taste in books and music are any indication she's a rad lady. Would gladly stay again when in Raleigh!

  • I didn't read closely enough and went expecting a two-bedroom apartment, but it's actually a nice little yellow house! The apartment is really nice, clean, and homey, and Elizabeth's communication about the place was clear and detailed (we didn't get to meet, as she was out of town). The house is just steps from downtown but has a quieter residential feel. The place is tastefully decorated and warm. I would not hesitate to book this place again!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Elizabeth's apartment in Raleigh after going to a concert downtown. The apartment was great with more than enough space for two people. It was in an awesome location downtown and was walking distance to many restaurants and bars (we would have walked everywhere if the weather hadn't been so cold!) Elizabeth was very detailed in her instructions on getting into the apartment and we had no problems there. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again if in Raleigh!

  • Just as described -- comfortable, clean, wonderful! This was my first Airbnb experience and I will definitely do it again if it's as good as Elizabeth's place. Bonus (as far as I'm concerned): Elizabeth had a great collection of books that told me a lot (of good things) about who she is.

  • Elizabeth had a lovely home, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The home featured two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom, equipped with a full kitchen, and had seating on the porch and backyard. The home also featured an excellent choice in records, and a large selection of books. We had no trouble getting around for the location was perfect. I would definitely welcome future occupants to rent Elizabeth's lovely home.
