Ken's loft was amazing. The pictures hardly convey how big it is. Would recommend it to anyone. My only complaint, a very minor one, is that the speakers were very quiet.
This was my first time with Airbnb and I have to say the experience was excellent all around. We spent 4 nights here. The loft was even better than I expected; it's very spacious. It'(email hidden) too, which the pictures depict accurately. We loved having a kitchen to use and it had everything we needed. Whole Foods is a little over a mile away, so getting groceries was easy since we had a car. We staggered showers and always had plenty of hot water. A group of us were in Providence for a conference and it's a nice walk to the convention center, under 15 minutes. It was a nice to space to relax in during the day when we had breaks. Our host was easy to reach and always got back to me quickly. It was so much better than a hotel, even a nice hotel.
The artist loft (email hidden) perfect for small gatherings and a short walk to center of town. Ken and Kathy were a pleasure and check in/out was easy. It'(email hidden) to stay in Providence!
Host and his on site manager were very responsive. Apartment is as it looks in photos. Very spacious. Thoughtfully equipped. Location is somewhat isolated in an area with old factory building etc, but there are some cute restaurants in walking distance. There is bus service but not much on weekends, so best to have a car or bike.
If you need real darkness to sleep, bring eye masks. Also blowers for heat/ac are quite loud when they cycle on and off, but the neighborhood is very quiet at night.
What a great location and host. Kens loft is every bit as nice as the photos. Perfect sport for a family weekend. Nice kitchen, comfortable beds and the pool table was a hit with my son. Quiet neighborhood with restaurants in walking distance. Highly recommended.
Ken was great and the service from Kathy (who manages the loft) was great as well!
One thing to be aware of with the loft--although there are two futons in the house, these futons are TERRIBLE for sleeping on. The couches are actually pretty nice, but the futons that fold out of them are not so nice. You can feel each spring in your back and they are very asymmetric. I can sleep ANYWHERE and these futons made it a challenge.
If you are planning on using something besides the main bed for sleeping I'd plan on using the couch cushions rather than the futons (that's what I did) as they are much nicer :)
Everything else about the loft was A+, just be advised that if you're going with a group and planning on making use of the futons they are a far cry from a nice bed.
The loft is great, it's exactly as advertised. My kids loved it, my wife loved it. Highly recommended. We'll be back when we're in Providence.
The ONLY niggle, and it's a small one, is that there is a tiny amount of hot water available. Be warned -- get in before your kids/partner or you might be doomed. :)
Great stay! Great place! Great city! The pictures say it all!
Stayed at the loft for a week...excellent (email hidden)ose to everything we wanted to see and do in the Providence area. Easy access to all parts of the city and very close to Interstate on and off ramps. Highly recommend as the place to stay in Providence.
