Ene was great! She met us in person when we arrived, and chatted with us about the coastal spots we should check out. Her space is very comfortable, and our dog was very happy being able to be out in the open (a stark contrast to the apartment building we live in near the city). Our friends enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and we had a wonderful breakfast the next morning with Ene's eggs. Thank you Ene, and we hope to come back again!
Ene is a wonderful host and her place was perfect for our family get together. We were there only for a day but loved everything about it and would definitely go back for more vacations.
My girlfriends and I loved our stay at the Wowhaus! It was in a quiet location to explore Sonoma and Ene was a fabulous hostess. From check-in to recommendations to the fresh farm eggs she left for us, we had a very relaxing weekend in Freestone. The house is as shown in pictures, very clean with all the basic things you'd need. Definitely planning a future trip back :) thanks for everything, Ene!
Ene and Scott and their beautiful place, embodies AirBnB's mission statement of "belonging anywhere" and having a magical experience in a place you've never been. Ene is top tier in hospitality, and is amazingly kind and friendly; she brought us fresh eggs, and home-made persimmon candy. Their recommendations on where to hike and what to eat and do were spot on.
Ene even went out of her way to show me some of Scott's latest work, building custom longboards in the shop. I can't wait to go back and build one and ride with them!
You won't regret staying here if you get a chance, and if you do you should book for as long as possible and hang out with these great hosts!
Thank you for your kind words! We so enjoyed meeting you both - definitely the best things about airbnb is meeting people like you, who feel like old friends although we've only just met! Looking forward to your upcoming visit; so glad you can return. See you soon! Ene
Ene was an incredible host to this majestic little residence. Not only was the property a peaceful and quiet abode, but it was full of charm with antiques and quaint artifacts placed in particular places. We were greeted with farm fresh flowers, sunflower seedlings to plant, and farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator. Everything was clean, comfortable, and relaxing.
We had an amazing time at Ene'splace, it was really easy to find, the place was both beautiful and comfortable, we also followed Ene's advice to find great places to visit and eat
Thank you! I'm so glad you had a good time....there's so much to see and do here; I do hope you can join us again. The Occidental Farmer's Market, which starts in May, is really special...in addition to the great produce there is delicious ice cream, wood-fired pizza, and even paella!
All best, Ene
About the Host, Ene
We are the husband-and-wife art/design team of Wowhaus; we live and work on the property adjacent to the vacation rental. When we lived in the City, we dreamed of finding a relaxed, contemporary, affordable rural retreat close to San Francisco...so we made one:
Only 61 miles from San Francisco, close to the Pacific Coast, redwoods, and beautiful family farms, the Wowhaus retreat offers a contemporary artists’ twist on the traditional family farm - a place where growing and making are part of daily life.
Scott is an accomplished woodworker and Ene is an avid organic gardener. Ask us about our favorite cycling and hiking routes (amaziing cycling!), wine country day trips, and the many unique nurseries and farms to visit in the region. We'll be happy to show you our work in progress if time allows.
