Overall I enjoyed my stay. However the fact that there is no wireless Internet available was a huge downfall for me. I mean, who lives like that? lol The place was clean but appliances are old. Only one small old fashion television in the house with a VCR player. Very outdated house. If you decide to stay, bring cleaning products to clean dishes including sponges etc. the house was a good decent size and good quiet area. Olga was nice and always available.
Amazing. Beautiful house and great location. I will defitnetly be back there.
Olga was a great host! The house was light, airy and very comfortable. The surrounding area is very beautiful and we all had a great time at the resort pool. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one olga!
A wonderful place to stay and Olga was great at providing info and being accessible for all our questions. Highly recommend it!
Good spot for a weekend away - we took the kids to the pool/tennis/playground complex (pool and kiddie pool, with snack shop and comfy loungers - and great pirate ship play structure) which are a 10 minute walk from the house.
The bottom floor (with bedrooms) was mildew-smelling but Olga said they are looking into a dehumidifier. The upstairs was comfortable for six adults and two kids to hang out and cook, play games, etc, and the movie selection was unbeatable. Caddyshack!
The grill's propane tank was empty when we arrived, but Olga said she's send me a check for the cost of replacement, which was an easy drive to Dutch's supermarket.
We didn't get to the lake, but it looked nice on the drive in. Perhaps next time.
This was my first airbnb experience and I was very pleased with Olga's home.
Olga was very easy to communicate with and quickly answered all the questions I had for our stay at her house. She was very accommodating and flexible about any trip arrangements we had.
The house was well-stocked with kitchen equipment and we cooked for a large group with ease. The entire home was clean/neat. We had a lot of fun playing the board games and watching some movies. We took the short drive to the lake-beach for some festivities; the whole community and ambiance was very relaxing and has a lot to offer.
I would definitely come back to this home for another Pocono adventure (we went whitewater rafting this time, which was only an hour's drive away). Thanks for a great stay, Olga!
This was my first airbnb rental experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better one! Olga was reliable and communicative from start to finish, and I always felt "taken car of." For the price, you're really getting a lot - recreation area, a pool, a lake to swim and fish in, an entire home that is comfortable and accommodating with a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of space (it was 7 women on our trip), and we loved sitting out on the balcony/deck. There's even a small fire pit area! Which we didn't use because it was too damp, but even with not-so-great weather, this is a great place to be! There's also plenty to do within a half hour surrounding the home - there's zip-lining, lots of nature trails and preserves and one of the locals at a winery we visited told us about a waterfall that was a must-see, and we're so glad we did! Make sure to visit Wangum Falls when you're there.
I would suggest bringing chairs for sitting outside on the deck (there may have been chairs in the house, but we did not look for them since we brought our own). Also - there is a collection of great VHS tapes here, and a VHS player of course, so if you've got VHS tapes of your own you'd like to revisit, you should absolutely bring!
Bottom line: I would definitely rent this home again.
The house was very spacious, bright and clean. Olga was very accommodating - she even brought a crib for our baby.
We spent 2.5 days at Olga's cabin for a fathers-sons w/e. Everything was just as described by Olga and met our expectations - basic, clean and comfortable cabin with everything you need for an enjoyable quality time with the kids. We never met Olga face-to-face but she was always quick to respond via email/ phone and very helpful.
Thank you, Olga, we enjoyed our stay.
We had an excellent experience in Olga's cabin! The space is very roomy and we comfortably had 9 people stay for the weekend (we brought an air mattress for the extra person.) Olga gave excellent instructions and we had no problems at all! As noted, definitely remember to bring sheets, pillow cases, towels (including hand towels), toilet paper, paper towels and dish detergent.
The previous review here mentions they had some issues, but Olga spoke with me before our stay and assured me everything would be good to go for our stay, and it absolutely was. She is great at responding quickly and it made for a very pleasant stay!
There is a HUGE supply of board games, a ton of VHS tapes, cooking equipment, and plenty of extra chairs around the house. Anything extra we needed was easily available at a supermarket less than 10 minutes away. Also, we got to see a lot of deer in the woods which was nice!
No complaints at all! Definitely would stay here again if we are ever looking for a place in the Poconos!
