We never got the chance to meet Cilis, as we were gone just about every night when he stopped by... But he and his place were more than accommodating. The condo was a great place to come back to every night and easily slept 5 of us with the extra bed Cilis provided. Everything in the house worked very well, and the AC and wifi in every room were a huge plus! The proximity to the rugby field was a great way to get some local culture & being outside of downtown created a quiet, local experience. I would definitely stay here again, we had a blast. Thanks Cilis!!
I never met Cilis or his wife because my parents arrived first and received the key. My mom said they were really nice. The place was very clean and the neighborhood felt safe. There were towels, blow dryer, and basic dishes. Also there was a full kitchen. We were coming down for my sister-in-laws wedding and we were only a few blocks away from family and spent a fraction of what people spent to stay on paradise island. We also had more space than people had in hotels and since it was four of us (my fiancé, my parents, and myself) it was even more of an affordable option. Would not hesitate to come back.
I came with a group to do some ministry work in Nassau. We booked both of Cilis' houses for 6 nights. Both houses were great. The neighborhood was nice and the units were very well kept. Cilis provided us with transportation to the units by taxi. Cilis gave us a cell phone to use which came in handy because we needed to be in contact with the people from the church that we knew on the island. The fact that Cilis stays at the end of the units made it easy to communicate with him. There are stores nearby and a beach up the road. We had transportation provided to us by the church so it was easy to get around the island. most of the major attractions are about 15 minute drive away. My recommendation is that if you stay in one of the units to rent a car or catch a cab although cabs are very pricey. There are full kitchens in the units as well as cooking utensils. We did some cooking and it worked out well. Over all these units are great and my whole group and I would definitely stay there again.
Cilis is SOOOOO nice! He helped us a lot and gave us many useful advices and tips around Nassau. And we enjoyed talking with him. He is a smart, honest, and reliable man. We loved staying in his apartment, clean, neat, and fully-equipped. If you want to explore Nassau, renting car will be my suggestion since the apartment locates in a remote but quiet area where the middle class in the city gather. It's safe. Highly recommended! I would definitely come back.
We visit Bahamas from June (phone number hidden) Cilis and his wife was ver y nice. The area was a middle class small town called Winton. We walked to the store to get grocery and to catch the jitney bus. Make sure you have plenty of quarters the bus cost 1.25 if you give them 2.00 they want give you change. If you buy white hennessy it's cheaper in nassau some of the store up the price from 48.00 to 58.00 shop around first. You can catch a boat from Nassau to atlantic for 4.00 you can go to the fish fry or Poop Deck on bus 10 for some dinner. If decide to go to Harbor island make sure u get up at 7am and call a taxi because it leaves at 830am the sand is pink on that island it cost about 130.00 to stay all day there.
The bahamian vacation home was gorgeous. Cilis was so helpful with everything. We got to do some laundry and buy groceries while we were there. The buses were a short walk away so we had no trouble getting around. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and eating too. Wifi was wonderful to have to check back in at home, and my sister enjoyed having the tv. Cilia had a phone but we didn't need it. Overall, we had an amazing time. I would def. stay here again!
