Go-to B&B for traveling artists at Hobby Center & Houston Grand Opera! Located 7 blocks from George R Brown Convention Center and a few steps from Metro Lightrail for easy access to Reliant & museum district. Great location for Rodeo!
The condo is bright and fun stocked with all the amenities you need for an extended stay. Enjoy the privacy with your own bedroom, kitchen, bath, and workspace. Special attention has been given to be sure it's a clean, comfortable, and healthy space to accommodate guests with allergies or chemical sensitivities.

It's in the heart of downtown Houston located near most major corporate headquarters, Minute Maid Ballpark, the Houston Opera, George R. Brown Convention Center, The Toyota Center, Bayou Place, Houston Aquarium, and the Houston theater and entertainment district. It is a ten minute 8-block walk to George R. Brown Convention Center from my home (I recommend taking a cab after dark if you are traveling alone or a woman).
There is quick access to the Medical Center, Reliant Stadium (Rodeo!), Midtown, Montrose, and Upper Kirby via the rail or a 5-10 minute drive. You will be walking distance to Discovery Green, the theater district, Houston Pavilion, and the University of Houston Downtown. This is the perfect location for the Fourth of July, Rodeo, OTC, Nape, Houston Free Press Summer Fest, business conferences, a night at the ballet, or big sports games.
There is one parking lot assigned to the unit and it is located in the parking garage underneath the building.
Providing a healthy space for you, your friends and family is important. Interaction with Guests
I speak with all guests throughout the booking process online and allow them to check in and out using personalized door codes. It's pretty hands off, but I'm always available by phone or email.
Downtown Houston is constantly going through transformation whether it's the expansion of the Metro Lightrail or attracting young crowds with newly inspired restaurant and bar concepts. But the iconic unchanging elements of downtown give the neighborhood the most personality- such as theater district and historical bars such as Notsuouh or La Caraf.
The Metro Rail takes you from downtown, through Midtown, the Museum District, and all the way down to Reliant Stadium.
Just a couple things that we ask out of respect for the space and future guests:
Please follow the check-in instructions exactly. I will definitely leave a negative review for anyone who follows cars into the garage or asks tenants in the building to let them in the building/elevator due to ignoring the check-in process. I've done this for 3 years and I'm finally putting my foot down on this one, thank you for understanding!
Please be conscience of energy conservation and maintaining a healthy space. Be sure to turn off TV/lights and close windows when you check-out.
Only use the cleaning products provided- they are mostly green products without perfumes. No candles, air fresheners, smoking, or animals- this is very important (please! I have chemical sensitivities as do many others).
This was such a great place to stay in Houston. Steph set me up with everything I could possibly need, and then I didn't have anything to worry about. Being downtown in an awesome condo seems to be the best way to visit.
this was my first experience with airbnb and what a delightful first impression. steph was so helpful and always available for any questions i might have ! the apartment was beautiful and everything you could ever need was there for you. thank you steph for a wonderful experience !
Steph was a pleasure to work with during my stay in Houston. Her relaxed approach to checkin and check-out work perfectly for me. The apartment is clean and as described, perfect location if you have business downtown.
Second stay at Steph's...this is feeling like my Houston "home." Perfect location for me and I love the Japanese bobble heads. Comfortable, homey, welcoming, clean, all great. If in Houston, it's my first choice!
This was my first time using Airbnb. Steph was very responsive and all instructions provided were very clear and detailed. The apt was very large, clean, and provided a lot of natural light. It was a very convenient location. Thank you!
I just completed my stay at Steph's incredible loft yesterday, and I miss it already! I stayed for 3 weeks and it was a fantastic experience.
The building is located right in the middle of downtown Houston-- there is a Chipotle and a cute coffee shop one block away (which is really all I need), and is an extremely short walk to many other unique and trendy restaurants. Also, several Zipcar locations nearby, if you're a member. Steph arranged for my arrival and I got into the place with no issue. The apartment has a digital lock with a code, and that was very convenient. It may be worth noting that there is a large homeless population in downtown Houston (an inevitability for a large city), and although you might regularly get asked for change, I never felt unsafe or scared-- and I was out late by myself often. Additionally, the building is secure and you can only gain access to the front door and elevator via the security fob you pick up at check-in. There is also a parking spot in an underground garage should you need it- an added bonus!
The pictures of the loft are identical to what you get, although physically being there is twice as nice! It's beautifully decorated-- the kitchen was a dream, the bed was great and I could have practically lived on the big comfy couch in the living room. One of my favorite features were the giant living room windows and their shades, which you could adjust from the top AND the bottom for "customized" lighting. The bathroom was wonderful as well, and includes a gorgeous shower that is big enough to play a football game in (though I would advise against it), as well as a washer/dryer.
I 100% recommend staying at Steph's place- everything was taken care of and I felt completely at home. I'm from NYC, and most of the time I pretended I was finally "living" in the amazing downtown loft I always wanted, but could never afford in New York! My suggestion would be to skip the hotel and stay at Steph's-- you will not be disappointed.
Steph was most helpful when we required help and needed advice. The condo was exactly as pictured and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for taking in events at both the convention center and the theater district. Easy to recommend this condo!

I'm a native Houstonian who relocated almost two years ago to San Francisco. I travel as frequently as possible- visiting friends, family, finding surf, and exploring new cultures.
As an Airbnb guest, I'm always looking for spaces that are economical as well as uplifting and minimalistic. I want to be in the middle of everything and experience what it's like to really live in your city (even in two days). I will always leave your home the way I found it (fellow-host honor).
I love playing host to world travelers and business folk and have certainly earned my stripes in Airbnb hosting (almost nothing surprises me anymore). I call my home in Houston a little petri dish for design. I love coming back to visit and seeing new magnets added to the fridge or new notes on the bulletin board from my guests. I rearrange my room too many times to keep it updated in my photos and you'll usually find a few beers or snacks in the fridge that are leftover from my sporadic visits (help yourself!). Many times I don't get to meet you, but feel like I get to know you through exchange of books, art, or stories.
I'm very open to constructive feedback and would love to hear how you think I may be able to improve my home for guests.
