About this listing
Please make sure to check all three of my listings for availability.
This apartment is totaly independant and not shared with anyone.
This apartment does not have a garden.
It is easier and faster to commute into the City from Union City than commuting from Brooklyn or Queens.
If you were to stay in the Bronx it would take you 40 min to get to Times Square. If you were to Stay in Brooklyn it would take you the same amount of time as subways in Brooklyn are not direct. If you were to stay in Manhattan you would not find a place as big as this one for this price.
The apartment is located within a 3-min walk to a bus stop the bus will take you to Times Square district in approximately 15 minutes (Important: Bus to Times Square costs $3.20 each way and bus tickets cannot be used for subway) NJ transit bus tickets cost $27 for 10 one way tickets. The bus will take you to Port Authority 42nd St subway station (lines A, C, E). This station is a central subway hub and you can easily walk to lines 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q and R. (Important: Subway tickets cost $2.5 per ride but you can buy 7-days unlimited pass at $29).
I do not recommend buying the unlimited pass as Port Authority is central and you can walk to all major tourist attractions.
It will take you 15 minutes to be directly in Times Square!!! in the comfort of a bus.

Miyoko is a very good host and helped us in providing information about New York. Even though we reached quite late, she provided all needful assistance to accommodate comfortably. Miyoko's accommodation is very good and comfortable to stay. I strongly recommend airbnb travellers to opt Miyoko's accommodation.
My host was very nice and attentive. The place is just as clean as it looks in pictures, the owner lives upstairs with her very polite family and her sister helps her clean the unit. She provided a visitor parking pass that we could use very easily in the neighborhood and never had to park more than a block away. Bus route to NYC was 3-4 blocks away and very conveniently situated 15 mins from Port Authority Bus Terminal in Times Square. Linens were nice and spacious unit for my family of 6. You cannot beat the price!
The apartment was clean and we easily found it by using google maps. It is comfortable for 4 people (sofa bed isn't, so don't expect 6 people sleeping well). The listing doesn't say that it is located in a house basement, so you can smell a little moisture inside. It does state 15 minutes to Times square by bus, but it is more like 40-60 with walking to the bus station and depending on traffic in the tunnel.
It was super easy to get in the apartment, even though we arrived super late. Place was spacious and comfortable. The people living upstairs were nice and friendly. Parking was a nightmare, since there is no driveway or garage. We had to park almost 15 mins away the first night because we couldn't find anything close.
Great place to stay - we really enjoyed being part of the Union City neighbourhood and absorbing the Latino culture as well as the famous sites in New York! Vilma is lovely and all communication smooth. As we arrived in New York at 7am and the last people left early we were able to get in early which was greatly appreciated after the long trip from New Zealand. Thanks for such a great first AirBNB experience - I don't think we would ever choose to stay in a hotel again!!
Amazing place for the price you're paying. Internet and cable work great and the host takes care to ensure that you have all the linen and cutlery you'll need. Only issue with this place is that although they provide a parking permit, it'll take you some time to find a spot to park on the street in this neighborhood. Otherwise, loved it.
