For a quiet getaway to Old Hawaii, visit our cozy yet classy, comfortable beach home at Manini Beach, the South side of Kealakekua Bay where world class snorkeling, swimming with the dolphins and green sea turtles are enjoyed daily. Hikes and historical sights and adventures are all within walking distance. 2 minutes walk to the mouth of the ocean. Enjoy plenty of parking, internet, and many fruit trees surrounded by tropical flowers.
Ample parking is available in the private driveway. Steps access both sides of the entrance to the large covered lanai.

This neighborhood depicts 'old Hawaii', you can feel how it was to sail into Kealakekua Bay, pristine water, teeming with reef fish, green sea turtles, Spinner dolphins and Humpback whales in the winter months. There is an interesting mix of indigenous local Hawaiians and transplants from the mainland who live together in harmony.
A rental car is a must to see the Big Island. Only a 12 minute drive from this tiny village will get you to gas, groceries, shopping, restaurants, live theater, There is only 1 bus a day on the highway

Kayak rentals are available one block away down the road at the ocean on Kahauloa Rd.

This place was a jungle paradise! Such amazing plants, fruit and flowers all around it. Really great location just steps from an amazing beach and kayaking. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill island retreat.

I own and operate the Blue Ginger Gallery in Kainaliu, Hawaii showcasing over 70 local artists/ crafts persons work and my own hand painted silks; (website hidden) for 27 years!
I love the ocean, snorkeling, paddle board, bike riding and wind surfing! I have skied Mauna Kea on several occasions then body surf at Hapuna Beach.
