Darlinghurst is indisputably one of the best neighbourhoods in Sydney. Walk to downtown, eat from its many great restaurants, bars and cafes, wander down to Sydney harbour and hop on a bus to the beach. My home is peaceful and you are welcome here.
Your bed: Large, firm king single with pillow top mattress and brand new (Jan 2014) Sheridan linen!
Your room is small but comfortable with a king-sized single bed that is super comfy with a firm, pillow top mattress and brand new linen.
For your clothes, a clothes rack and hangers plus four good sized basket drawers are provided. An iron and an ironing board are kept in my bedroom and you are welcome to borrow.
The bathroom is a little old however it's kept clean and is stocked with liquid soap, a hair dryer and a flat iron. You can have a bath is you wish and if you are like me you'll be relieved to know the shower pressure is good. (Please note you will be sharing the bathroom with me).
Inside my home I have a full kitchen stocked with everything you'd need for a home cooked meal. A range of tea and coffee pods is provided plus help yourself to cooking essentials like olive oil, salt and pepper.
Also in the living room, I have a TV along with a stereo that is iPhone connectable. A large solid oak table seats 8 people. A piano that is regularly tuned takes centre stage for the musicians amongst you.
Internet is provided plus there are clothes washing and drying facilities available in the building's communal laundry for a small cost.
Interaction with Guests
You can tell by my reviews that I am friendly and enjoy interacting with my guests. That said, I am really busy so sometimes don't always get to spend time with guests.
A 60-second stroll will take you to Sydney's famous Coca-Cola sign in the heart of Kings Cross.
My street is walking distance from Sydney's best dining and bar districts like Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Rushcutters Bay, Surry Hills and Paddington. I am passionate about food and wine and would be delighted to help match a bar or restaurant to your mood and budget.
Like to go for a run or a walk? Take a short stroll to some of Sydney Harbour's breathtaking foreshores - Rushcutters Bay is only minutes away and the Opera House is less than 3km.
A five minute train ride from Kings Cross station to Bondi Junction will take you to one of Sydney's largest shopping centres and a transportation hub connecting you to all of the eastern suburbs beaches.
Beaches, shopping, Sydney Harbour, public transport and incredible food and wine is right on the doorstep of the sweet home in the heart of Darlinghurst. Plus, as your host I'll make sure you experience the best of it!
Public transport is the best option for getting around in this area. Please note, because this area is a very popular with lots of restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, parking is tricky. Most car parking walking distance from here is restricted to 2 hours. Check out car-sharing options close by like GoGet - it's what I rely on and VERY easy to use!
Other Things to Note
Need a place to stay for 2 months or longer? I may be able to offer an even better discount - just ask!
I only Airbnb to non-smokers. There is no smoking anywhere in my building and I really don't like the smell! Other than that, I find Airbnb guests to be incredibly considerate - I'm sure you'll be the same!
Ash was a lovely host, she was welcoming from the first day and treated me like an old friend - she even bought me a coffee the day I arrived. The kitchen was stocked with muesli, milk and bread for me to use too.
Location-wise, it was super conveniently located, walking distance to the city or the train station just down the road.
I would highly recommend Ash's apartment!
The reservation was canceled 26 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I really liked this place and Ash is a lovely host, careful and nice. She made me feel at home... Really cozy.
The location is pretty good, near the subway and bus stops, and walk distance of many touristic sights. There are many facilities around. I strongly recommend Ash's place for staying.
it was a pleasure to stay at ashleigh's house. She welcomed me perfectly and gave me a lot of help and recommandations. She even bought some fruits and muesli for my breakfast! The appartment is perfectly located to have a walk around the opera or have a drink in Surry hills while be in a quiet location.
The room and the kitchen are clean and functional. I highly recommend Ashleigh's house for any trip in Sydney!
Great apartment set in a perfect location in Sydney. Ashleigh was a great host and made sure guests were comfortable and had everything they needed. Loved spending my last few days in Australia over there.
This was my first experience with Air BnB and Ashleigh made it very enjoyable. Her flat is ideally situated, close to shops, bars and King's Cross train station while still being isolated from the loud areas at night.
The flat is clean and really feels like home. Even though she didn't have to, Ashleigh took care of me when I was sick, which I really appreciated.

Welcome to Sydney. When you stay with me, you'll be staying with a busy person - I work full time and am studying my masters in creative writing at UTS. I haven't hosted for some time but am making my spare room available over the New Years break.
I look forward to meeting you :)
