11 minutes to Alexanderplatz and 20 minutes to Brandenburger Tor by S-Bahn - and still calm and cosy?
That's where my apartment is located!
Close to the markets and bars of vivid Friedrichshain and around the corner of Treptower Park if you like jogging, cycling or walking.
Victoria-Kiez, where I live is a pre-cool area of Berlin, where gentrification is just starting: Down my street is a very good bagel and espresso bar, three restaurants, the best icecream in town, and two supermarkets. One is open until 10 p.m. even on saturdays, which is not so common in germany. (email hidden)-stores within 10 minutes walk.
For the visual hunger there are three art galleriies down the streets and if you like nightlife you are within 10 bicycle minutes of "about blank", "Wilde Renate" and "sysiphos", three places to be if you are into Berlin music scene. Berghain is 20 bicycle minutes away.
If you are full of impressions, noises and smells of Berlin you will come home to your room:
25 Squaremeter of beautiful, bright space in a typical and original Berlin-style building from the 1920th. I use the room (which of course has its own door and privacy) as a guestroom for friends or as living room while its not rented. Therefore you find my books on the shelf and my favourite furniture there!
The whole appartment you share with me and a cat is 65 squaremeters, equipped with a modern bathroom and a small but cosy kitchen.
As mentioned at the top the S-Bahn-Stop Nöldnerplatz connects you directly with the whole city (10 Minutes to Alexanderplatz, 15 Minutes to Friedrichstraße) until 1 a.m at night. Trains run every 5 minutes and during weekends all night long (during night about every 15-30 Minutes).
I do provide towels for my guests and there is also a stock of shower gel, shampoo etc. for you - in case you don't want to make your luggage heavier than it must be.

My stay with Katja in Berlin was great, thank you.
Everything was easy (except perhaps that I needed help getting my too heavy suitcase up the stairs), and having wifi access was a bonus.
Katja is super nice. She was available all the time, but also respected my privacy a lot.
The apartment is nice, the room is big and cozy.
Even though it isn't located in the city centre, I really enjoyed the neighborhood, which was calm and beautiful, and close to a street with a lot of bars and restaurants. The apartment is really close to the train station. Having the bike was also great! I felt I could enjoy Berlin a little bit more like a local.
The last couple of days I was feeling kind of sick, and Katja and a friend of her were really nice and helpful.
I definitively recommend staying here.
I spent nearly two weeks staying in Katja's flat and I thoroughly enjoyed it, if I was going to choose somewhere to live in Berlin this area would be at the top of my list. It is in a quiet street with the bakers and local shops right there, you can get to Boxenhager Platz within 10 to 15 minutes walk where is a whole selection of bars and decent quality, good value cafes and restaurants. And the S Bahn will take you anywhere else you want to go. I had my car with me and there are no parking restrictions or charges outside.
Katja was a lovely host and she recommended some great places to me, the room is spacious and comfortable and the flat feels homely. Thanks Katja.
This is a decent place to stay with good public transport connections to the city center
J'ai été reçu avec beaucoup de légèreté et d'attention. Tout simplement formidable! Une belle initiation à l'expérience Airbnb pour moi! Merci Katja.
Perfect room, wifi-connection always spot-on, yes a bit short but good matrass, Light, spacious room, with view on the Bakery! Only 2 minutes walk to/from S Bahn station, plus the bicycle to get you through Friedrichshain, to Rummelsburg See or, in 25 minutes, to Alexanderplatz! Mrs Odenthal is the perfect hostess, sharing kitchen, coffee and Berlin-tips freely. I couldn't think of a better spot to stay in Berlin.
The place was very nice and had an authentic atmosphere, and the hosts (I'm including the two wonderful cats here) were all very nice. I definitely recommend! The environment was really calm and a good rest was had every night. It's a great experience to stay at a house built at twenties.
I had a very nice short stay, Katja was so attentive, friendly and hospitable. The room was big and comfortable, and the neighbourhood seemed like a little village. Entertaining cats and interesting chats. Thanks!
I had a great time in Berlin staying with Katja. Her apartment is well to the east but that is where lots of things are happening. Katja is a great host, sociable, friendly and open person with a big heart. The area around the apartment is cute with restaurant and cafés.
