About This Listing
A large, quiet, furnished bedroom (the blue one in the photos) in two bedroom available in the vibrant Crown Heights area of Brooklyn.
Located 4 blocks from the A express train and 5 blocks from the 3. 20 minutes to lower Manhattan, and walking/biking distance to Prospect Heights and Park Slope.
On the block there is a laundromat, pharmacy, and several restaurants. We are walking distance from one of NYC's best parks, Prospect Park. It is a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minutes on the subway. There are also many coffee shops, book stores, and a variety of bars and clubs close by.
I am a doula, writer, and activist. I've lived in the apartment for almost 3 years and really love this neighborhood. I try keep the apartment pretty neat and clean, and create a relaxed environment to live in. I have a very sweet cat, Sebastian, and my roommates have a lovable dachshund, Finch. You will not be responsible for their care, but this is definitely a place for animal lovers, and we'd prefer to have people stay who are comfortable, and hopefully even happy with, our pets.
Interaction with Guests
We will be out of town, but reachable by phone. The second room will be occupied by two young woman visiting from Russia.
Not many rules. I just ask that you don't smoke and treat the place with great care, keeping in mind that this is our home, and not a hotel. So please do not leave behind dirty dishes or trash. Thanks!
Staying at Jillian's apartment was lovely! I was able to meet with one of her roommates, Tereza and she and her husband had great correspondence with me. The apartment is quite spacious and good looking, and it's not too far from the trains and commercial areas. Also, Sebastian is the friendliest cat I have ever met!
