Renovated in 2010, the Riad Meski guarantees guests a pleasant stay whether in Fes The hotel is not too far from the city center. The hotel offers easy access to the city’s must-see destinations.
At Riad Meski, the excellent service and superior facilities make for an unforgettable stay.
We had a lovely stay at Riad Meski. Host Ahmed was friendly, professional and helpful in advising us where to go (and how to get there!).
Location is great – close to Bab Guissa and the two main roads in the centre of the medina. Our room was clean and spacious. A pleasant atmosphere to the whole place in general! There is no sign for the entrance to the riad so someone will have to meet you somewhere on arrival (it would be impossible to find otherwise!).
Thanks Ahmed and family for a great stay.
We enjoyed staying at Riad Meski. The room was big and comfortable, and the breakfasts were tasty.
Ahmed is really a nice guy. Give me every necessary information and try to make me feel at home and happy in Meski. Actually, I was. The Riad has really great location, easy to find way to all sightseeing. Hot shower and good breakfast on the rooftop. If u want to try local life, recommend here.
It was a fabulous riad and the first time for our friends stay in a place like this. Very good location and convenient to walk around. Right in Ahmed is very helpful whenever we have questions about the medina and the around. The breakfast was great too. Would be happy to go back next time when I'm in Fez.
A true Moroccan experience! My fiance and I led a group of 10 university students and rented the entire Riad for three days/two nights. Living with Ahmed's family was a superb experience for us and our students. Ahmed was personable and very accommodating to our students needs (food allergies, tips, heat, bedding, etc.) If you get a chance to have a family dinner with them (or cooked by them), do it. It was phenomenal, and a highlight of our students' experiences in Morocco. Location was good for Fez (it's a 10-minute ramble from Bab el Guissa) with easy access to taxis and souks and the major sights. Ahmed also arranged an "official tour guide" for us, as well as transport to and from the train station--both for very reasonable prices. He also, on very short notice, arranged for our transportation to view the city in the evening from the Merenid tombs (something not to be missed, especially as the call to prayer happens...with a reputed 365 mosques calling at the same time!)
Even before we arrived Ahmed was very helpful in planning our trip. He arranged transport for us and someone to help us find our way through the Medina with our luggage.
On arrival he could not have been more accommodating. We were hungry after a long journey and he arranged a simple but delicious home cooked meal with Saeda, who he works with across the road. We still remember that first taste of Morocco and it's hard to beat Saeda's food - highly recommended!
Ahmed also provided a lot of help arranging tours and lots of assistance finding our way around, whether to restaurants in the
evenings or local places to see. It was never a hassle to him, all done in his stride. Even though he is a very busy man, his main concern was that we were always happy.
We were there at New Year it did get a bit chilly so bring extra clothes as Riads are made to be cool in the summer not for winter!
We can't recommend this place highly enough. We left having felt we had made new friends in Ahmed and Saeda. We loved every minute and will not be forgotten.

Just back from a wonderful week in Morocco, facilitated largely by Ahmed, who was a really great host. The guest house was traditional and very friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. Aside from the hospitality we were also given Ahmed's attention and advice, which was wholly reliable and sensitive: we were cold - we got a heater; we wanted a trip to the desert - we were visited by a tour operator who listened to our interests and devised a perfect itinerary (two nights in the desert - be warned it is FREEZING in winter.... literally the morning dunes were covered in ice, followed by an overnight at Todra gorge, which was just fabulous). We returned to fez for a night and Ahmed again sorted out accommodation for us close to his Riad as he had no rooms. All was fabulous and we'll use his again if awe have an opportunity to be in Fez. Many thanks, Ahmed!
