Interaction with Guests
I would love to give you some great tips about Berlin and especially about what to do. I really like "alternative" places so feel free to ask if you wanna discover some non touristic places.
I speak French, English and German.
The flat is exactly located between the most lively and trendy areas in Berlin : Kreuzberg, Neukölln and Friedrichshain.
You can find at 500m of the flat an organic supermarket and 3 regulars supermarkets and a mini mall with a post office and a bank.
15 minutes walk from Skalitzer Strasse where you can find one of the greatest restaurants, bars and club scene. 5 minutes till the great Treptower Park.
You can reach the flat by train : station Treptower Park (on the ring) or by bus lines 104, 167 or 194.
I would advice to rent a bike for visiting Berlin. That's the nicer and the most environmental friendly way :)
Other Things to Note
Regarding Parking : possibilities to park for free in front of the house or around. You just have to be lucky ;)
I have pretty high cleaning expectancies and expect the same from you guests ;)
For example : you will be asked to take off your shoes and leave them by the door.
The bathroom|restroom and kitchen are shared with me.
Regarding the kitchen, you can use the fridge-freezer and (email hidden) isn't allowed except some non cooked meals like breakfast or sandwich for example.
I love pets but unfortunately they are not allowed in the building.
Non smoking flat.
We had a great stay at Julie's place. The location and the apartment were both really nice and we also liked the neighbourhood a lot.
We strongly recommend "The Vintage Corner". Julie is a perfect host!
Thank you Julie, and hope to see you again!
Absolute great experience in the appartment of Julie! First of the apparment has lots of "charme" and the location is amazing. Really close to all the cool places! Then it has been maybe one ofthe best communication experiences before - while and after the trip! Lucie is such a nice guest! If i go back to berlin, i know where i stay again! Thx Julie!
Julie was very warm and welcoming, greeting me with tea and conversation. She was also helpful in providing tips on the neighborhood and transportation. The area is definitely not touristic, giving one a feel for the "real" Berlin. The room is large and comfortable with just the right amenities - hangers, desk, drawer to store one's things so that you do not feel like you are living out of your suitcase.
Travelers of the world I will give you a secret, I should be charging you an arm and a leg for, but as fellow travelers it will be free. In the course of all your travels make sure you stop at Julie’s. For me it is not if, it is when I will be going there for my next trip. Beautiful well light, minimally furnished second floor apartment with huge rooms and wooden floor, right in the middle of Berlin. But most important of all is Julie; her energy and personality. I felt I was visiting an old friend than in an airbnb apartment. I arrived with a ton of work after a busy week on my way to a weeklong event. Julie’s place had such positive energy I finished all the work I had to do and feel completely rejuvenated; that is despite not being able to go out even once because of my work. What is the German word for squatting with owner’s permission? That is how cozy her place was. I am already planning my next trip, which will of course include staying at Julie’s and hitting all the cool spots in alternative Berlin Julie tipped me about. Thank you Julie.
“Travelers of the world unite to leave the experience of Julie's place”!
Julie was very kind, nice and helpfull during my 5 day stay in her flat.
Istrongly reccomend her!
I am torn about my stay at this place:
-there was a really bad smoky smell in my room from the radiator
-the radiators were turned off everywhere in the apartment although it was extremely cold outside (when I switched them on they were switched back regularly)
-the neighborhood is nice but definitely 20mins walking distance or with bus from the main spots in Neukölln and Schlesisches Tor - therefore I feel its a bit pricey (I stayed for that money in the city center of Vienna)
-communication with the landlady wasn't the best
-the first night at 2 am I was locked out from the buidling because the main door was broken (scary**). It worked the following days because the door was open - (is an unlocked main door safe?)
-very cute artsy decoration and furniture
-good bus connection to the city center
-lots of space in the apartment
