What sets us apart:
We are located in a private, wooded neighborhood in the center of town on .6 of an acre. This quaint and charming cottage is fresh, clean, and super cozy. There is a private patio and section of our large yard that is for our guests and animals enjoyment. Wildlife frequents the property including deer and ducks. Guests tell us that we are in the center of it all but it is very quiet and peaceful. We allow smoking on the patio only, not inside the cottage.

The space
The cottage has 12' ceilings throughout to give it a spacious and open feel, except in the cozy living room. It includes a master bedroom with a king bed, and is equipped with a Smart TV for your streaming convenience. There is a closet with hangers, a luggage bench, small ironing board, and iron. The bathroom has a massage shower head with a detachable wand for full body rinsing. Their is a loft above the king bed that can be accessed by a ladder. This space has a full sized bed and can be used by adults, but mostly the tweens, teens, and college students enjoy it. The main space has a full kitchen and sitting area, and a sectional that includes a full size sofa bed. This area has a cozy fireplace, that looks out onto the beautiful yard through a sliding glass door that can be given privacy by using the shades. The kitchen sits to the side of this relaxing area and provides all the needs of a full kitchen (sink; refrigerator; oven; microwave; coffee machine; toaster; full range of dishes, pots and pans, and utensils). The separate Living Room has a large cushy sectional with ottoman to rest your feet after a busy day. Their is a workstation, and another Smart TV. There is local information and maps to help you decide what to do and where to go. Outside there is a private patio for your enjoyment, which includes a dining set, two rockers, a hammock, a gas grill, and a corn hole game. We also have pet supplies, such as a poop scoop, poop bags, and outdoor dishes for food and water.

Guest access
There is a parking space at the end of the garage, next to the shed for the guests to park. We have space for two cars at our residence park, and all other vehicles can park free on the street across from Deer View Lane. The guest may enjoy the yard and patio area on their side of the house. The back yard is for use to play with your animals as well. There is plenty of room. We don't leash our animals when they go outside to go potty, but we would like you to have your animals leashed if they are aggressive or distracted easily. The neighbor hood has several dogs in it and we just ask for you to respect those that live in the homes around us.

Other things to note
We have two cats, Monkey (gray and black striped with white paws and belly), and Sparrow (marble like markings with gray, tan, and white. We also have a Wiener Dog named Annie, and a mixed breed large dog named Leo. We have pictures of them on our listing so that you can recognize them when you arrive. All animals are friendly but will bark when they meet you, and want to check you out and get a pet and smell. They will be around the property. If you are staying with pets please let us know their behaviors because our dogs are off leash when they go outside. We clean and sanitize using the Covid procedures recommended.

Neighborhood highlights

We live in a small neighborhood of 5 homes and all neighbors are friendly and respectful. Our neighbors have large dogs so we ask that you keep your animals leashed if they won't stay in close proximity to you, to avoid any confrontations. We are located close to Colorado Mesa University, St. Mary's Hospital, Stoker Stadium and the airport. We are a short drive to downtown and I-70 is very close and accessible to take you to other areas, like Palisade or Fruita, which are minutes away.
