Great neighborhood. A 5 minute walk to the Marina & harbor. I have a private bedroom and private bathroom for rent. Queen size bed in bedroom. Bathroom has outstanding fixtures - travertine stone, excellent water pressure. Also has private patio.
It is a lovely bedroom, not luxurious, just safe and pleasant. I have the house professionally cleaned once every two weeks so your space will be very clean when you arrive. I keep a lot of vases with fresh flowers in the house, which I think adds to its overall appeal.
I have been told the bedroom gets a lot of sunshine in the morning so if you want a dark bedroom in the morning, or otherwise want to block out the sunshine, this is probably not the best choice for your stay.
I own a little dog, and she is very friendly and loving and loves to interact with guests, and therefore I am unable to accept any guests who do not like dogs or who would have problems with a little dog being near them, trying to play with them, etc. I have included pictures of her in the photos.
Guests have a private bedroom and a private bathroom, and access to the kitchen, dining area, laundry room, living room, wifi, private patio, downstairs patio, and, if there's no street parking available, a private parking space in my garage. The bedroom has a locking door which guests get a key to so they can ensure their belongings are safe and so they have extra privacy. I provide fresh clean towels, fresh linens, soap and shampoo, laundry detergent if desired. Guests are also welcome to help themselves to any snacks. I keep fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, sparkling water and the like in the fridge and pantry.
Also, smoking is allowed but *only* on the patio.

Interaction with Guests
I work during the week so I am not home during the day. I'm usually home at night during the week and in and out on the weekends. I'm pretty easy going in terms of interaction.
Marina Del Rey is a great neighborhood and is a perfect location for tourists looking to enjoy Los Angeles. The first reason Marina Del Rey is an excellent location is because it is only a twenty minute bus ride from Los Angeles International Airport, which is very important for guests arriving or leaving by plane since most towns in Los Angeles are over an hour away from LAX by bus.
My house is also a five minute walk to the sailboat docks and harbor and the beautiful Burton Chace Park. My place is also an extremely brief (5-15 minutes) bus ride to a number of popular tourist destinations such as the Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, the Third Street Promenade, and the Getty Museum.
Also, my place is a five minute walk to any kind of store you could possibly have in mind: grocery stores, convenience store, Peets Coffee, Starbucks, Pinkberry, Chipotle, the post office, movie theaters, etc.
With respect to public transit, the Big Blue Bus (Route 3 and Route 3 Rapid) goes up and down Lincoln Boulevard, which is a main street on the West Side of Los Angeles, and a one minute walk from my place. The Route 3 starts at LAX and goes all the way up to Santa Monica and then over to Westwood, so it stops at a lot of the most popular tourist destinations in Los Angeles.
There is also a bicycle path right by my house, commonly referred to as the "beach bike path" that allows bicycle riders to go up and down the coastal cities of Los Angeles by bicycle. That is also a great way to see Los Angeles.
Other Things to Note
Frequently Asked Questions by Guests:
Q: Do I know that my dog likes to chew on dirty socks, toilet paper, and that she will eat food if it is left out in a guest's room?
A: Yes, I do know that. In fact, I recommend that if guests want to keep the dog out of their room, that they close their door.
Q: Do I know that my dog will jump up on the furniture?
A: Yes, I do know that. In fact, I recommend that if guests do not want the dog to come into their room and jump up on the furniture, that they close the door. Otherwise, she will come into the room and probably try to play with you.

We had a great stay at Wendy's house.
She was very clear and helpful with our arrival time and made sure we had everything we needed to have a nice stay.
Her dog was very cute as well and was always around the house.
All in all we really loved to stay here and would definitely stay again!
Amazing stay at Wendy's place! Wendy has been an awesome host, the place is clean, luminous, the private bathroom is really convenient and the pug is super friendly! Thanks for the snacks and the drinks! Lovely place! I highly recommend Wendy as a host!
We were made to feel welcome. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. Location excellent in a nice part of Santa Monica near the marina
Great location. Very close to LAX, but in beautiful Marina del Rey! Wendy was very easy to work with and flexible to my schedule. The room was spacious, clean, and provided much more than a typical hotel room. I will be back!
Wendy's a pro. She breezed through the tour, pointed out the framed signs that serve as an IRL FAQ, and left me to do my thing. In two minutes, everything I could have asked was answered.
The bedroom is large, the bathroom is impressively stocked, the morning light is wonderful, everything is clean. Her dog Pandia is friendly and completely uninhibited, making a bee-line to the toilet paper roll and doing some righteous damage to my empty grocery bag, clearly enjoying herself, which was awesome.
The home was exactly as described in a nice, quiet, and safe area with easy access by car to the local attractions and LA freeways. Wendy was very accommodating with our travel schedule and had provided virtually everything we needed for a short term stay.
The room was nice and comfortable with lots of space, which suited us as we had lots of lugguage, and we could lay stuff out without being cramped.
We liked that the room was up stairs with a big sliding door to the balcony, which we could safely leave open for fresh cool breeze during mild nights.
Fast and reliable wifi was very handy for (website hidden) mapping and planning out things to do and see.
Wendy was flexible and accomodating, allowing us to store our luggage as we had late flight, which we greatly appreciated.
And our little pug friend was also great company during the day.
I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. I live a very mellow lifestyle because I work very hard. I spend most of my free time with my friends and brother, who lives nearby, golfing, running, going to movies, walking my dog.
