About this listing
On a secluded alley like street, only meters from iconic Park Lafontaine in the Heart of trendy Plateau Mont-Royal.
This is it !
In the heart of the Plateau on a quiet alley like street, only meters from Park Lafontaine, Montreal’s Central Park – ok, it’s not as big, but we’re a smaller city. Although you don’t have a view of the Park, the advantage is that you are on a quiet street; technically it’s a street but functions more like an alley. (The Streetview version is inserted by Airbnb and not the host - the shot you see is actually nearby and not a view from the apt.)
The apartment is a first floor 500 square foot loft style open space apartment, ideal for two. It was completely renovated in 2007 and upgraded in nov 2013. I have lived in the neighbourhood for over 25 years and have seen its evolution over the years, I actually live next door. The floors are hardwood and marble – new furnishings and fully stocked kitchen. (New added feature: expresso/cappuccino machine, and I don't mean the capsule type).
You are 4 minutes away from the trendy restaurants and boutiques on Mount-Royal Avenue and a 18 minute walk to iconic St Denis Street – outdoor cafés and boutiques.
There is a Bixi communal bike service (april - nov) 2 minute walk –the bike lane is on Rachel, the neighbouring Street. Velo Québec is 2 blocks away – for bike enthusiasts.
The Metro (subway) is short distance (15 min) on Mount-Royal or if you prefer a longer route, you can walk through the park and catch the Sherbrooke St Station (18 min).
Although Montreal hosts a series of outdoor festivals in the summer, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies in the downtown area ( 50 minute walk) - all the amenities you need are available on Mount Royal Avenue – restos , bars, liquor store, boutiques - the beer store, what we call Le Dépanneur is a minute away…
Reserved Private Parking, in front of the studio, is included in the rental (unfortunately, only until June 30, 2017 - lease is not renewed)
Free reserved parking till June 30 2017.
If your driving or coming by cab remember that Bureau is just behind (north of) Rachel - approx 50 ft - since Bureau St is not a major street, it is common for taxi drivers not knowing it - important focal point would be Rachel and Garnier or Rachel and Fabre, in front of Park Lafontaine.
