You'll love the new guest cottage set among fir trees on 2.5 acres. 10 minute walk to Cresap Bay Park, quarter mile drive to lakefront w. view of Mt St Helens. Scenic drive to waterfalls or Ape Caves. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers or up to four guests. Hike Mt. St Helens or independently explore serene forested areas. Cottage with 2 floors. Can accommodate sleeping for 2 on each level.

The space
This is a 2 storey cottage with one bedroom upstairs, one fold out futon downstairs. Steep stairs to spacious loft. Open floor plan with kitchen and dining area and living area with futon. Private deck in rural location. The cotttage sits on 2.5 acres shared with main house and is surrounded by towering evergreens. In the late Fall, Winter and Spring ou can see views of Cresap Bay Creek Lake from the backyard. Once spring comes, the greenery hides the creek view however, there are hiking trails with close promity to Cresap Bay. Cell phone signal and laptop signal very unpredictable and unreliable due to no cell phone towers in or near forest.

Plenty of comfort and privacy to enjoy the forest views and relax.
Property secluded except for occasional noisemaking from modern day lawn maintenance equipment etc or recreational vehicles in this tiny neighbourhood. At times, some sound from the road. The majority of the time it is very quiet and peaceful.

Our home is in a clearing in the forest. As you can tell by the photos, we have a deck looking out towards the forest. There are two homes on either side of our location, however, with our property backing up to the park's forest there is plenty of space for privacy and quiet. We are situated on 2.5 acres next to a forest bordering the Cresap Bay Park. Cresap Creek borders our property as it meanders down to the lake, a stream from Mt St Helen's watershed. It is mostly very quiet here with convenient access to areas of complete solitude as well as many outdoor recreation opportunities. From time to time one of the two neighbours may be busy with land maintenance which can include noisy equipment. It is usually short term noisiness. Also, there is more traffic in the area on weekends. For the most part, it is very quiet and peaceful as well as close to beautiful places to explore nearby within short drive or hike. Outdoors it's very quiet after dark and it is just this very supreme quality of quiet that makes sitting outdoors and admiring the starry night sky so fantastic. With the cooler weather we have a campfire area as well as a wood burning stove on the deck. There are baby deer and elk in the area and often a deer comes thru the yard at night to catch an apple from our tree.

Hi, I'm Denise and my primary profession is as a fine artist. My location here is the beautiful forested mountains and lakes of the Northwest reminds me on a daily basis that the sights, sounds and subtle community of wildlife surrounding this area is good for the soul. On my hike yesterday, with my dog Titus, we saw baby rabbits, a chipmunk and a baby deer drinking in the wild solitude of the Cresap Bay Creek which is located in a ravine behind our backyard. Our connection to the lakes is a great place to see wild and beautiful places within a short hike or a drive of anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. Not one but several lakes to choose from! I am happy to provide detailed directions to places very close by to kayak, swim hike or bike. At night we have places to enjoy a campfire, enjoy the perfect quiet of a starry night surrounded by tall evergreens.
