Sadly I dont have a massive housekeeper crew like the hilton :( If you can, try to pick up a bit (trash, dishes) like you would if you stayed at your buddies house... Anything helps!
Prior to our arrival, Shaz sent an email with a list of things to do in town along with information pertaining to the apartment. The designated parking space is a life saver seeing that there was never any open on street parking spaces close by. The inside of the apartment was as described. It is a place for you to crash while in town after a long day of exploring the city, hiking, biking, etc. The bed isn't the most comfortable, but it will do for a couple of nights sleep. It is in a convenient location close to a lot of great places to eat. Check out the pizza place on 13th for a quick slice or the Jelly Café for some delicious breakfast food. At night some of the people in the area could be a bit sketchy, but I guess that is to expect in a popular city neighborhood.
Shaz sent all the important information we needed for our stay. Everything was as described and the location/neighborhood was great.
Shaz was a fine host and his place was as described. Great neighborhood with plenty to see and do within walking distance, and perfect proximity to downtown. Easy communication, checking in and out was a breeze.
Had a great time in Denver and Shaz was a great host. The apartment was clean and in a great location. Shaz was very responsive and provided a list of things to do / see in Denver. Best tip, go to Jelly Cafe for brunch right down the street. :)
The apartment was pretty clean and it served us well. Great location, close to a lot of places to visit, you just need to take a walk around.
I would stay there again if I come back to Denver anytime.
My boyfriend and I had a good time at Shaz' apartment. Denver was the last destination on our road trip and we really needed to catch our breath. The location of the apartment is great and the place has about everything you need for couple of days in Denver. There are some good restaurants really nearby to get breakfast/lunch/dinner and the State Capitol (and park, very nice) is only about a 10 to 15 minute walk. During our stay we didn't get to meet Shaz, but he was very helpfull over e-mail for our check-in and check-out. Also great about the place: really nice art everywhere, books and magazines, fast internet, fans and ac to keep you cool, big fridge (with ice), soft sheets, lots of clean towels.
Couple of downsides too though. There is no smoke detector in the house (or at least, I didn't see one). I think is it a basic safety precaution to have one, so hopefully Shaz will install one very soon :-). Also, I missed two things in the kitchen: a kettle to make some tea and a large bowl for like salads.
And, last thing - for the tall people among us - : the bed and the shower are quite small. I see this a lot everywhere in the USA actually. Guess you guys aren't as tall as the average European. My boyfriend, who is 6.3ft / 192 cm tall didn't really fit in the bed and had trouble getting his head under the shower head. Also, he bumped his head like 3 times on the lamp in the living room... haha.
Over all, we had a good time. Thank you Shaz for sharing your place with the world!
About the Host, Shaz
I'm a very tame 30yr old advertising/creative guy.
I travel a lot for work and leisure.
I like making stuff. All sortsa stuff. With my hands, and with code.
I love a nicely designed clean minimal place, and people that enjoy the same.
Ideal guest would be similar to myself. If it's two people, a nice calm couple would be best. Not looking to host crazy partiers.
