Another great weekend at Roger and Marys! My husband and I feel at home here. This was are second visit and we will be back again.
It was a pleasure to stay at Mary and Roger's. The room we were hosted in was extremely clean and is very comfortable. The atmosphere that Mary and Roger create is welcoming and funny. With all hosts (3 couples) we had breakfast together (thank you again Roger, those pancakes were really good!). We appreciated the garden with swimming pool, the fire pit at night, the birds keeping us company.
My husband and I arrived late at night and the Leiths were gracious enough to wait up and greet us in the driveway , help with our bags and chat with us about things to do in the area. The premises were very clean, well maintained and beautiful. They were plenty of snacks and beverages available in the common area as they promised, as well as toiletries in the bathroom. We really loved chatting with the Leiths and another couple over a pancake breakfast on Sunday Morning. We would definately stay here again.
Mary thank you again for opening your home to us, it was as peaceful as we remember it from the last time. The listing is just as advertised and you and Roger are wonderful hosts. The area is so convenient to Stone Harbor, Avalon and Cape May but truth be told, we enjoyed the serenity of your home. Hopefully we will get to see you again and enjoy more of the humming birds.
The hosts made us feel very welcome. They put a lot of love and care into their guest's quarters. Everything was clean and neat. And their backyard is lovely...full of birds, ponds and a swimming pool.
Mary and Roger are delightful hosts! They made us feel right at home - we loved the house, the special little touches stocked for breakfast each day - and especially the Sunday morning blueberry pancakes - those jumbo blueberries they grow in NJ are to die for!!! The back yard is amazing - especially the koi pond!! Location is perfect - close to Avalon which is where our family reunion was being held. We will return!
I stumbled upon Birds and Breakfast when looking for a place to stay near Cape May. What a GEM! There are three bedrooms and we enjoyed meeting the other guests who were staying. Its clean and the yard is gorgeous. The common area has tea, coffee, snacks, juice, I enjoyed drinking green tea while sitting outside enjoying the nice weather. Roger and Mary are awesome hosts with great recommendations of where to eat. Loved Dino's restaurant and the Lobster House. We sat around the fire pit our last night which was so relaxing. My favorite part of the yard was the Koi pond with beautiful ground cover around it. Roger dug up some of ivy and vinca for me to take home plus some wild flower seeds. Dont stay in an over priced hotel when you can stay here. Its 10-15 minutes away from Avalon beach, Cape May and Wildwood. We are already talking about going back in the fall.
