Galapitiyaya Estate is a organic tea & pepper plantation located in the foothills of Haputale, Ohiya & Babarakanda. Blessed with many natural beauty's including five waterfalls ranging from 11 meters to 3 meters in height. Also the famous stone sculpture dating beyond 5000 years Gala Pita Gala is also located at the border of the property. This sculpture was mentioned in a book "Lost City of Z" by Lieutenant Colonel Percival Harrison Fawcett the famous British geographer, cartographer, archaeologist and explorer.
Also the tallest waterfall Babarakanda waterfall (263 meters tall) is also located 5km down the road form Galapitiyaya Estate.
The property is situated at the edge of the village with no disturbance from the village. Also there is a beautiful paddy terraces near our property. We have a river and a stream flowing down hill from two sides of our boundary. Drinking water is provided by two of our own natural springs. Love the cool climate. I just love to spend time here.
