Centrally located on the Alaskan Highway right in town, this lodge holds up to 9 adults (plus extra cot youngster). With a large kitchen, eating area, movies, 3 TVs, 2.5 bathrooms, situated right in town within walking of everything in Tok. All single beds and bunks are XL (78" instead of standard 74") for your comfort. The common area has three tables for eating, games, visiting. Closes 9/31. Please take note of our Covid 19 guidelines below.

The space
Small business meetings (discontinued until Covid crisis over)
Bikers traveling together (if a single family)
Church functions (discontinued until Covid crisis over)
Hunting parties (will consider staying open in OCT if 4 or more days are booked)

Guest access
Because of Covid, we can only allow a single family to rent the lodge and have lowered the price From $260 to $125 to accommodate this inconvenience. It is an extra $20 for each family member over 2 (kids under 10 free and no pets). Additional bedrooms (ones not rented at time of reservation) will remain locked to maintain CDC sanitary standards. We are going the extra mile to insure your safety and ours, so if anyone is showing symptoms, we ask you to cancel your reservation. You will have full access to the TV/Movie room, dinning area, and kitchen as well as the BBQ out back during your stay. We disinfect all areas of the lodge between guests, therefore, checkout is earlier and check-in later than normal and may be strictly enforced.

Other things to note
We also run the Alaskan stoves campground and have a genuine Sam McGee wood stove (from Robert Service's famous poem The Cremation of Sam McGee) which you may want to visit (people book the stove for sleeping too). Down the street is Chris Marshall Wood stove factory if that kind of work interests you.

Wi-Fi is down the street (a city block), at Fast Eddys. Get a coffee or a pizza and take advantage of their free Wi-Fi.

Location

Tok, Alaska, United States

There are paved walking paths all over Tok and you have access from our lodge located right on the Alaskan Highway. It is worth a trip to the visitor's Center for local information and to watch a few films about the area and the Northern lights. Three Bears grocery is right down the street and will want to visit Mukluk Land a few miles out of town--its a fun funky attraction park.

I am a local businessman who runs a campground and hostel with my sister, Shelly. I design and build burner units and transfer bins (for rural community trash) and wood cook stoves for real Alaskans. My factory is located just down the road, (two buildings east of campground, [campground is located at mile post 1313 Alaska Highway]), you are welcome to drop by and see how we make wood stoves. Life motto...I think maybe my first thought would be to, 'do no harm', or at least to the extent possible to lighten my impact on our environment. During the winter we close the campground facilities first. Then we close the Hostel sometime in October. So the 'Rustic' room upstairs at my house is the only option available late in the year. Please check the calendar for our offerings as things change due to time of year and circumstances. Thanks, Chris
