  • Palisade Plush was a very cozy and comfy place to stay.Charlotte and Matthias were very caring and easy to talk to ... I recommend it!

  • My brother and I enjoyed our stay in DC - this apartment was a nice, quiet retreat after long days of seeing all the sites and museums. The bus line is within a block - 30-40 minute ride to the mall, etc. The couch folds down nicely for a comfortable bed and the bed in the bedroom was comfy as well. Definitely a good value for a very nice, comfortable, clean place to crash.

  • Charlotte, my host, is a courteous, highly responsive and proactive person. She handled every detail to perfection. A true gold standard host!

  • This is a great apartment in a great location! The bus is just steps away, and there are restaurants on the block along with a little market. Charlotte and the onsite host (Matthias) are both wonderful to work with.

  • The Palisades Plush feels like a home away from home. My parents who stayed there for 4 nights were very pleased with the apartment, all amenities were provided, the apartment was well equipped and the house keeper Mr. Matthias was very courteous. The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood , close to grocery stores such as Safeway and is very close to the bus stop that takes you into downtown DC.
I would definitely recommend Ms.Charlotte's apartment to anyone who is interested in visiting DC.

  • The Pallisades area which is just west of Georgetown is a charming, safe and quaint neighborhood. The unit Pallisades Plush was truly as it was advertised. The unit was immaculate. The facilities, including the kitchen & laundry were impecible. The queen sized bed was very comfortable. The list of "House Rules" which was emailed to us contained many valuable suggestions for sights and just getting around Washington DC. I will admit taking the taxi the first day from Union Station was a bit daunting as we left Washington DC. John & I were determined to use public transportation during our visit. As it turns out the D6 bus stop which is located across the street from the unit will get you to and from all of the Washington DC sites. It was reliable and the entire transportation system is clean & well run. We purchased Smart trip transportation cards in advance which are very convenient to use. We certainly had privacy and felt safe in the area. We would leave early and return usually after dark. Some days we would combine the bus route with the Metro to get us to our destination. For our return to Union Station we were confident enough that we used the D6 bus to take us & our luggage. The cost? For John & I to Union Station was $3. (The Taxi on the way to the Pallisades cost $30.) Again if you are arriving by Amtrak and purchased a sleeping car fare, you can check your luggage in the Aceola Louge in Union Station for free just by showing your Amtrak ticket proving that you had the sleeping car accommodation coming to Washington DC. For those driving an automobile, my suggestion would be to drive to a Metro station that has parking available and then use the Metro to get to your destination in Washington DC.

  • It is very nice and confortable apartment. Perfect for one or two persons for a stay in a very beautiful neighborhood. The apartment is in a basement and the ceilings are not so high. But I'm a tall guy and that was absolutely no problem for me. To make it short. Everytime when I'm looking for an apartment in DC my first choice are always apartments which are hostet by Charlotte.
Also the whole communication before, during and after my stay with Charlotte was very trustable and reliable. Five stars for this place.

Thanks again and hopefully I get the same apartement for my next visits

  • We came to DC because our daughter was having our first grandchild. This meant we needed schedule flexibility. Charlotte was very gracious in helping us out. We would certainly rent from her again. The location could not have been better.

  • Lovely apartment in super safe neighborhood. Clean and furnished with everything you would need during your stay. Great communication. My first airbnd experience was wonderful!

  • The Palisades Plush is a wonderful place to stay!!

Located in Washington's Palisades neighborhood, just west of Georgetown University, the Plush is in a very safe neighborhood where you can feel safe, anytime of day or night.

There is a Safeway store located about 5 blocks from the Plush that provides full line shopping. The Washington Metro bus D6 line passes the Plush, and provdes ready access to the entire Georgetown/Dupont Circle/downtown/Capitol Hill/Union Station area.

The Plush, though a basement unit, sits about 8' above the street level, and is very quiet at day and night. We found the unit stocked, not just with towels and linens, but with dish/laundry/dishwasher soap, all the pots, pans and dishes we would ever need.

Matthias was a most gracious host, and checked on us the day after we arrived to make sure we had everything we would need.

Offstreet parking was available and readily accessible from the alley behind the unit.

When in Washington, consider staying at the Palisades Plush - we plan on doing so again.

Our latest addition are vacation properties for Washingtonians. See the Washington Vacations section on our website for homes in the nearby mountains. Take a few days away from the bustle of the city to explore our bucolic countryside little changed over the past 2 to 3 centuries. Visit wineries and orchards, significant Civil War battlefields and historic towns, hike the Apalachian Trail or follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers by visiting their homes. There is plenty to do that beckons you to leave the city for a weekend or a week. A bit about me...I am a former Californian who, after 12 years in DC, is now an honorary Washington native. Being well traveled both domestically and internationally has given me a great appreciation for the enrichment contact with others brings to our experience. I am well-versed on the "must-see" sights, monuments and museums of our culturally rich city, along with the unique experiences your find only in Washington. We share that insight with our guests in our property Welcome Guides which we send upon confirmation. We very much enjoy hosting visitors to our Nation's Capital and ensuring that they are able to make the most of their visit. Charlotte Perry Founder, LUXbnb Your short-stay source in Washington.
