“Château de Tourreau” is one of the most exquisite private estates in Provence. Within easy reach of the Provençal “gold triangle” (Avignon, St Rémy and Aix-en-Provence) beautifully restored to reflect the 18th century, this majestic estate has a sophisticated refinement, enhanced by provencal furnitures.
Once the gates have closed, you find yourselves in a world of your own, a world of legend and history, as if you were in an ancient royal palace of which you were the new privileged king.
The space
The Château's interiors of some 850 square meters have been restored to their former 18th Century glory and they are furnished with beautiful European and Provencal furniture and art. However, all the Château's services, including the heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems, are 21st century, as are the Kitchens, laundry rooms and all the bathrooms.
The Château enjoys three Reception rooms, a Library , a large formal Dining room (which seats up to 20 persons - 35 square meters), and an informal large, combined Dining room and Kitchen. The Château's charming, internal Courtyard with its fountains, its aviaries and its jasmine covered walls can also be used for al fresco dining.
The Chateau has a fully equipped TV room that includes a 50 "LED screen, Bluray, satellite TV and Sonos music system,many sonos music system are available at the Gym / Library / Kitchen.
There are three main suites (three king size beds) - one suite on the ground floor and two on the first floor - all en-suite with a separate shower. Six other bedrooms (four king size beds and two twin beds) are on the second floor. Each has its own bathroom.
The more sporty ones can use the gym, play squash, tennis, basketball or swim at any time of the day or night. The less athletic will be able to take a pleasant walk in the vast fields or to be trained in a game less intensive like the croquet, the badminton or the volleyball on the lawns specially dedicated.
The "mirror" pool (25mx10mx4.5m) and its adjoining children's pool (3mx3mx0.6m), is a wonderful place to relax. This area also offers an outdoor shower and a large open space with a dining room and chill room adjoining the kitchen with its barbecues. There are also separate dressing rooms, with shower and toilet by the pool.
The estate is divided into two different buildings : the Chateau and the Farm (extra).
The farm building adjacent to the castle extends over 950 square meters with its patio offering different spaces to settle around the lawn, budding olive trees, citrus trees, jasmine climbing walls and a fountain.
The farmhouse has seven bedrooms all equipped en suite, and a covered parking. In addition, the farmhouse also host the gym and the squash room.
