Allyen was very warm and welcoming. She quickly made me feel at home and was great to have conversations with. Having grown up in Portland I selected her property partly because of the location which is in a comfortable walkable part of town. The facilities were all top-notch and Allyen was very gracious and flexible in her guests' use of the property. I highly recommend Allyen and her properties for your stay in beautiful Portland!
I had a lovely stay with Alleyn. Her home was welcoming, comfortable and in a great neighborhood. Alleyn gave me a couple of maps and suggested places for me to visit. I was traveling alone and just there to explore the city and this was a great location to do so - it was close to the park, 23rd street (went to Salt & Straw a couple of times) and I felt safe walking home alone at night. Highly recommend! Also, the skylight above the bed was adorable. Such a pleasant stay.
Alleyn is a sweet and very thoughtful host. Her house is very cozy and welcoming - located in a beautiful and safe part of town. Just a short walk from the very upbeat and popular 23rd street. The room was very warm with a lot of natural light! I would most definitely stay here again!
Alleyn and her beautiful home were very welcoming on our first stay in Portland. The house is within walking distance of cute shops and great restaurants. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing weekend in Portland.
Alleyn was the best! She was very welcoming and was so kind. Our flight arriving was delayed and she was very understanding. When we arrived she showed us a map and told us about the neighborhoods of the city, how to get around, and gave us maps to use on our walk, offered umbrellas. Really helpful in general and she let us know the insider information like which areas were sketchy after dark. Being a local her advice was spot on and much appreciated. Alleyn is very pleasant.
Her place was great, very clean and quiet. The room is exactly like the pictures and it's a great place to rest after exploring the city. Nob Hill ended up being our favorite area in Portland.

About the Host, Alleyn
I live in the NW district close to the center of town because it is easily accessible from almost anywhere in Portland. Ten minutes from the airport. My great grandparents built homes in this neighborhood when it was first being developed and I have always loved this section of town. I moved to my present home in the Nob Hill district about 14 years ago.
I was an interior designer for many years and I also teach watercolor at the local community center.
I can't live without the ocean (an hour and a half drive from here), the mountains (an hour's drive), the beautiful Columbia gorge (1/2 hour) and Forest Park (minutes away).
I just saw the movie St Vincent with Bill Murray and loved it. Funny and charming.
