My apartment is right on the border of the two best neighborhoods in Brooklyn (or possibly all of New York). Fort Greene and Clinton Hill are bustling with gourmet restaurants of all flavors reflecting the multicultural landscape of this area.
Close to public transportation, BAM, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Fort Greene Park, Pratt, dining, groceries, Dekalb Market, bars and nightlife.
Your private room offers you an incredibly comfortable queen size bed with a down feather bed and comforter and big fluffy pillows, desk, closet, TV with Showtime, HBO, and Cinemax, an Ipod dock station for music, and Wifi. The full bathroom in the photo may or may not be private depending on whether or not the other bedroom is being rented. You can look at my other listing to see the other bedroom. You also have full use of the living room, kitchen, dining room, and large backyard garden. For the summer months you'll have a uniquely large wooden deck with gourmet grill and outdoor seating and lounging. In the winter you can enjoy the wood burning fireplace in the comfortable living area.
I'm very quiet when I am home and have a large space of my own so you may not even know I'm there. I do have cats and a small dog, I keep your bedroom closed off to them but if you don't like pets you may not like this place.
I almost forgot to mention that every Saturday the Brooklyn Flea Market happens a block from the apartment. It's a really cool place to find vintage Americana and yummy street food.
It was a real pleasure to stay in Marcy's apartment. The apartment is exactly as described. Marcy is very kind and will give you recommendations to visit New York as no one else. We thanks Marcy for her welcome and will never hesitate to go back in her apartment for future visits.
The whole experience was just perfect. I actually put my parents up at Marci's for a few nights over the Winter Holidays and Marci was gracious, the apartment was stylish and impeccably clean, and my dad fell in love with the little dog who lives there. I would/will rent here again in a heartbeat.
Marci's place is great! And she made me feel right at home from the outset. The apartment is very comfortable, tastefully decorated, really well organised and brilliantly located in a leafy neighborhood next to lots of good bars and eateries ... and also the metro G line is 1/2 block away so it means getting into Manhattan was easy.
I would definitely stay there again!
Great accommodation and all as described.
Marci couldn't have been more welcoming on our arrival and on exploring the local area it has fantastic transport connections on the next corner and great bars and restaurants a short stroll away.
I would highly recommend the accommodation and location.
Me and my girlfriends stay at Marci's was fantastic!!! She was very warm and welcoming, had everything we need, the bed was super comfy, her pets were adorable and she was very, very helpful. Would stay again!!
This was my second stay at Marci's apartment. After having a wonderful time last autumn, there was absolutely no question where to stay during my second trip to NYC. Again, I felt very much at home and recommend her place highly.
My stay at Marci's place was excellent. The flat is really nice - really clean, lovely decoration and furniture, and the bed was really cozy. And the dog and cats were really cute too, coming over to say hi and rubbing around your ankles once you've made friends. Its great that there's a subway right on the corner - not far to walk home after a long day of sightseeing. Marci was a great host, and very generous - told me everything I needed to know, is a really nice person to chat to, booked a taxi to pick me up at 4am to take me to the airport - I couldn't ask for more. I didn't see the other guests at all during my 4 days there since I was always out or already asleep when we were coming in or leaving for the day.
A great flat and a great host.

I'm originally from northern California but have been living in New york for the past 20 years, in Brooklyn for the past 9. I really love the city and would be happy to give suggestions or traveling advice if you're not sure of where to go or how to get there. I have a small vintage clothing shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn and that's where you'll find me most every day, at night I'm usually enjoying the great restaurants and nightlife in my neighborhood.
