My apartment is right on the border of the two best neighborhoods in Brooklyn (or possibly all of New York). Fort Greene and Clinton Hill are bustling with gourmet restaurants of all flavors reflecting the multicultural landscape of this area.
Close to public transportation, BAM, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Fort Greene Park, Pratt, dining, groceries, Dekalb Market, bars and nightlife.
Your private room offers you an incredibly comfortable queen size bed with a down feather bed and comforter and big fluffy pillows, desk, closet, TV with Showtime, HBO, and Cinemax, an Ipod dock station for music, and Wifi. The full bathroom in the photo may or may not be private depending on whether or not the other bedroom is being rented. You can look at my other listing to see the other bedroom. You also have full use of the living room, kitchen, dining room, and large backyard garden. For the summer months you'll have a uniquely large wooden deck with gourmet grill and outdoor seating and lounging. In the winter you can enjoy the wood burning fireplace in the comfortable living area.
I'm very quiet when I am home and have a large space of my own so you may not even know I'm there. I do have cats and a small dog, I keep your bedroom closed off to them but if you don't like pets you may not like this place.
I almost forgot to mention that every Saturday the Brooklyn Flea Market happens a block from the apartment. It's a really cool place to find vintage Americana and yummy street food.
Marci is the best! She was super welcoming and friendly, and was really great at helping me see some awesome Brooklyn sights. The room was lovely, the sheets were the softest things - it was like sleeping on a feather. Seriously. The flat was amazing, with plenty of space and stuff to use during my stay. The bathroom was stocked with loads of useful things and there was plenty of kitchen stuff if I wanted to cook. Marci made me feel really at home and chilled, looking out for me in my first few weeks in Brooklyn and making sure I had lots of fun. Anyone would be lucky to stay with her because she is lovely!
Special shout out to Oscar - the coolest dog on the planet, he is such a babe.
Marci has just been the perfect host. She welcomed us as if we were family, yet being as discreet as one can be. Her apartment is simply beautiful, spacious and she lets you have access to all of it (except her room;).
But there's all the extras : plenty of towels, thick and soft, beautiful sheets and just the right taste for everything.
It was a real pleasure to stay in Marcy's apartment. The apartment is exactly as described. Marcy is very kind and will give you recommendations to visit New York as no one else. We thanks Marcy for her welcome and will never hesitate to go back in her apartment for future visits.
The whole experience was just perfect. I actually put my parents up at Marci's for a few nights over the Winter Holidays and Marci was gracious, the apartment was stylish and impeccably clean, and my dad fell in love with the little dog who lives there. I would/will rent here again in a heartbeat.
Marci's place is great! And she made me feel right at home from the outset. The apartment is very comfortable, tastefully decorated, really well organised and brilliantly located in a leafy neighborhood next to lots of good bars and eateries ... and also the metro G line is 1/2 block away so it means getting into Manhattan was easy.
I would definitely stay there again!
Great accommodation and all as described.
Marci couldn't have been more welcoming on our arrival and on exploring the local area it has fantastic transport connections on the next corner and great bars and restaurants a short stroll away.
I would highly recommend the accommodation and location.

About the Host, Marci
I'm originally from northern California but have been living in New york for the past 20 years, in Brooklyn for the past 9. I really love the city and would be happy to give suggestions or traveling advice if you're not sure of where to go or how to get there. I have a small vintage clothing shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn and that's where you'll find me most every day, at night I'm usually enjoying the great restaurants and nightlife in my neighborhood.
