Nice little apartment about 2 miles from downtown Victoria. Has everything we needed. We were very happy with our stay.
We really enjoyed this little apartment. The location is great. Within walking distance of a beautiful beach (off leash greatly appreciated by our Cavalier Sadie) and shopping/ restaurants. No hassle with parking but easy access to Victoria and all the highways. We wanted to check in early and our hosts happily accomodated that. Very comfortable platform bed and fine shower (my husband is 6'5" and easily accommodated him). Good price. What not to like.
We stayed at this accommodation for 2 nights while visiting family in Victoria. It's in a great location and is within walking distance of the beach.
Everything was as indicated on the photos. Even though we didn't cook any meals while there the kitchen seemed like it would have what you would require should you want to.
It was really great to have a fireplace and the heat that came out made the place lovely and cosy.
We would recommend this suite to others looking for accommodation in Victoria. All my correspondence with Brandon was easy with very quick responses. Thanks Brandon and Janine!
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood of Victoria, you'll find the comforts of home and a serene place to unwind after a busy day. Bathed in natural sunlight, the spacious, well-appointed suite is just as pictured on the website—fireplace, sofa, beautiful coat rack, a well-equipped kitchen, a place to intimately dine as well as host a casual dinner with family or friends. It was a pleasant surprise to find fresh coffee grounds and tubinado sugar in their respective canisters on the kitchen counter to concoct morning drip coffee.
In the bedroom, there's an oh-so inviting comfy king-sized bed, 2 night stands, a chest of drawers, a full length mirror and a closet with extra pillows/blankets plus space to hang clothes. But the stellar thing about this bedroom, in my opinion, is the blackout curtains that encourage lazybones to catch a few extra winks. A much appreciated perk! Additionally, there's a door separating the living room from the bedroom—a feature not often found in rentals—allowing one the freedom to prepare breakfast or watch television and not disturb sleepers.
Just a few steps away from the king bed is a full walk-in shower, water closet and basin to meet your needs.
When I visited in early April, the weather was still quite cool. It was easy to set the thermostat-controlled living room fireplace plus the whisper-quiet electric oil-filled radiator in the bedroom to keep the spacious studio comfortable. I hope to return in warmer climate to make use of the Adirondack chair on the porch.
The location of this property is ideal for travelers wanting to explore Victoria sans the hustle and bustle of downtown crowds. For those without a car, there's a nearby shopping center, bus lines, a neighborhood beach, and, if walking/hiking interests you, there are streets and hills to climb that afford fantastic views. It truly is a charming neighborhood.
Janine was a thoughtful and welcoming host, who, aside from being attentive but not intrusive, rescued me when I locked myself out. And, although the suite is attached to the main house, I never heard a peep of noise day/night. Disappointedly, I did not meet Brandon but I did meet their exuberant and friendly doggie. Too much fun!
Would I return? You betcha!
Brandon and Janine were very accommodating with my request to stay with just a few hours notice. They responded quickly and explained everything thoroughly when I arrived. The suite was very clean and welcoming, and had everything I needed. I LOVE the original art on the walls, and the fact it's only one block to the beach. The bed was super comfy and the living room was a great place to relax. I would stay again and recommend to others.
Everything went lovely with our stay. Would stay again! Thanks for everything.
