We have a wonderful stay in house of Henri De Suarez for 3 days. The place is very good located, there are many shops and cafe near this. But the place is also recommended if you enjoy the tranquil rest on the North Beach, where is within 7 mins of walking distance. If you need, it's easy to park your car anytime on street (pays)? also there is a public parking in 3 mins walking distance. It cost around $1 per hour with a max of $16 per 24h.
I would recommend this abode to everyone who wants to cost little but enjoy more. The only remark - not too perfectly cleaned (it was dusty) and the number of beds did not match the declared number of guests. We found the bed linen, but it was not ironed and did not look very good. Otherwise we were thoroughly satisfied.
Not if you have a car or mold allergies...
“Henri” assured us nearby parking was $16 a day and instructions that followed said $16 - $20. Still reasonable, we thought. But we happened upon a holiday weekend and boat show. Arriving in the morning the parking was $25 for 6 hours and by afternoon, the gougers were charging $40 for 6 hours. We could have booked the Ritz Carlton! Frantic, we called Henri and got an answering machine. Luckily, the cleaning lady, our only local contact, took pity and found some of her own Miami Beach Guest street parking passes for us. "Henri" never responded. Our Airbnb local host “Henri” turns out to be a rental agency in Panama. Mildew permeates the condo and is still haunting our clothes and luggage and with no screens on windows or doors, mosquitos enter if you try to air it out. The condo, however, is sparse but comfortable, in a great location and on a quiet street, only a few blocks from the beach and Art Deco action and Lincoln Mall with good restaurants and boutiques. But the parking misrepresentation could have been a financial disaster. Our first experience with airbnb. Never again, folks!
(Excuse my English, it's not my mother language)
I understand that you have been deeply exasperated by the high prices in town, especially the cost of parking during during the boat show week. However, we can't be blamed for that ! The City decided to increase the rates of public garages during the boat show... well, I didn't know... neither is it stated in the official web site of the city where they give public garage rates. I doubt that the Ritz Carlton would have been a solution at a time when any hotel sells for between $300 and $500 a night...
Nevertheless, my local manager (not the cleaning lady...) lent you a residential pass for parking in some restricted streets... I would qualify this as outstanding personal service!
I am Henri, your host, and I am not always living in Miami for the reason that I also have properties in Europe and in Panama where I have my main office. I can't be everywhere at the same time. That's why I have local managers...
Your frantic pursue of a discount led you to invent a mildew problem in our property. Believe me... if we had a mold issue, every single comment would have mentioned it. I immediately inquired about your comment and it resulted that there were only some minor brownish spots in the corner of one of our bathrooms due to a previous leak from upstairs that has been repaired since.
Like most high-end properties, we do not have screens on our windows. We have 2 brand new AC units regularly serviced by a maintenance company and, for everybody information, there are no mosquitoes in the center of Miami Beach. If there were, all cafes and restaurants would not have terraces but would confined behind the proposed screens!
Excellent location. The apartment was beautifully decorated. It had not only what we need but instead details that surprised us ( beach towels, beach toys, extra towels, clean kitchen utensils, like new) I love the paintings and modern decoration. loved it!!
Flexible, reliable, good organization.
Really worth the price. No surprise when you arrive.. exactly what the pictures shows up.
Clean, incredible view of the city, every commodity is allright.
The spot is ok, right in the superb punta paitilla... but far from casco viejo, depends on what you search.
Simply put: really interesting for the price, lived up the expectations, and nice!
Had a nice weekend stay in Jan. 2014 at Henri's place which is perfectly located and had everything we needed. It's just 2 blocks from all the dining/shopping options at the Lincoln Road Mall and only a block from Espanol Way restaurants. And the walk to the beach is easy too even with the beach towels and beach chairs provided in the apartment. The Wi-fi and TV both worked great too! We will certainly stay here again when we come back to SoBe!
The reservation was canceled 40 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Alojamiento perfecto!
It was a nice clean place in the heart of SoBe. Everything was as it was represented on the website. Henri and his team were easy to work with.
We had a wonderful stay at Henri's condo! The condo is very comfortable, with nice views of ships lining up to enter the canal. We even had a birds eye view of Saturday night fireworks! The condo is in a nice location with several restaurants close by. We walked to Casco Viejo, but could have easily caught a bus from the mall. The condo was clean and a nice size for our group of 5 staying there. We recommend it!
