Thanks for visiting me :) I had great, great guests, who seem to have enjoyed the apt. I suggest before you read my story, take a look at my guest's reviews, of which i am quite thankful and proud :)

Your own 2 room appartment - no sharing! from owner. 50 square meter, in the center. All amenities, HD, Blue Ray, espresso, super fast internet.
Why here, except for it being in the centre? And except for me being a very experienced and enthusiastic host on CS and Air BB? Well, the appartment is very relaxing. As I also live here when not hosting, I chose not to make it one of those hotel-like places, with no soul in it, all straight and stiff . Instead, its mainly nature colors, many recycled furnitures, mainly wooden stuff and almost no plastic. And yet, everything you would need. Perfect for yoga or meditation, but also for watching a (nature) film on a big HD quality screen. So it's more like being at home than in a hotel.
1 big bedroom and a spacious living room with open kitchen, full of light. A brand new (2012) very comfortable sofa, easily opening to a deliciously sleeping bed in the living room, which can be used by another two persons to sleep.
Magnificent view over the canal, ship-building, balcony on living room side (south! all day) and the sleeping room a french balcony (well, in the winter it doesn't help much here ;) with no neighbours in view on both sides of the appartment!
Downstairs you have 3 restaurant, one of them, Thai, with lovely stuff and one of the greatest Thai food in Amsterdam, and not even expensive. And an Italian, a dutch, and some other places for snacks or drinks. There are all kinds of other shops on the street. (If you did not have time to do your hair before departing, a hairdresser next door :)
Beer lovers should forget the Heineken Brewery. Just 2-3 minutes walk from the house there's the last left windmill in the city centre, with the best beer brewery in town. 't Ij. They are lovely guys, not expensive, and are open from 3 pm to 8 pm.
When you arrive, you'll have some basic stuff in the fridge, and of course coffee and tea.
By booking you will get the list with the do's (and almost no dont's :) and how to manage everything.
I will be glad to assist you with any information and give you tips. When possible, even guid you to one of the better bike trips you wouldn't be able to make with only a travel guid...and if I have time, would love to cook for you once...
Let me know how you arrive (train/car/airport) and i will tell you the best and cheapest way to reach the house. This info is also on the site when you book.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
What else, yes, please have a profile with some info. I like to know who visits me :)
PS I have great neighbours, who should also be happy you came...
Have a great day!
Looking forward :)
Bus 22 will take you within 4 short stops to the central station. 3 stops you are in the red light district and the china town, 2 stops and you are at Nemo, the science museum and the Navy museum, and 5 minutes walk from there it's Waterloo square, with the opera house, Rembrandt square and Rembrandt house.
But actually, forget about the bus. Just walk all this in anything between 5 and 25 minutes. Or better, take the bike.
To the other side you can take tram number 10. 3 stops to the Amstel river, 4 stops the "Pijp" with plenty of restaurants, and the Albert Cuyp market, 5 - Heineken Brewery, 6 - the museums and 7 - the Leidseplein, the entertainment centre (less than 10 minutes ride).

Uri's apartment was the best place to stay in Amsterdam - not within an extremely touristy area but very close to everything with multiple transport connections. It was very open, airy and spacious for the three of us, with an amazing shower! Uri set us up with some lovely fresh bread and various food things which was really kind, and there were lots of great cooking facilities although we didn't make use of them. He also provided us with lots of good information about where to go and what to see, and although was out of the city for our stay was always in contact and helpful when we needed!
Uri is a fantastic host and also his apartment.
We had a fantastic stay in Amsterdam and in Uri's apartment! The location is great and Uri are SO helpful and kind!
Uri Apt. is realy great place. is realy near to central station, you can easy move to all amsterdam.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Uri's flat. He was excellent in communication, very relaxed and his flexible arrangements made it a very pleasurably and easy stay.
We arrived to breakfast laid out ready and to a great clean, light and airy flat. Conveniently situated by a delicious smelling and very busy Thai restaurant, a deli, grocers and antique shops, it has everything you need very close. It is a short and easy 5 mins bus ride to the central station which leaves just outside the flat - very easy.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Uri to anyone looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam. Thank you!
Uri's flat was lovely and in a great location. He was a wonderful host and went out of his way to accommodate our needs, a smooth check-in and departure, and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble for him. When we arrived at his flat, he had left us a beautiful welcome breakfast all laid on the table and fresh flowers in the living room. Uri was very caring and helpful and we will definitely go back if we are in the area.
Uri was a fantastic host. Providing well and above what I expected. Very helpful and responsive when there were questions. Location made the holiday in Amsterdam fantastic. Very homely place to live in.
My friend and I had an amazing experience staying in Amsterdam for 6 days and in many ways it was based on good welcoming and comfort and informational support provided by Uri and the excellent location of his flat. We received good advice on transport to use and how to save money on museums and attractions. Uri is a friendly, accessible and reliable host and hopefully we will stay in touch. :-)
The appartment looks like the picture, very nice and very functional. We loved the place for our stay. It was very pleasant to take the breakfast under the sun on the little balcony and with a great view :)
Well situated, you can go to the centre in few minutes by bus (bus stop down the appartment) or by walking, about 20 to 30 minutes.
Uri give us a lot of advices and touristics informations and did everything to make us comfortable (like let us some food in the fridge for our arrival !).
Thank's again to this amazing host and his kindness.
Our stay in Amsterdam was so great. The city is beautiful and rich in discoveries. Uri was an outstanding host. First, the apartment is very nice for 4 people and very functional. Upon arrival, Uri took the time to tell us about his city, sharing interests and ask us what we wanted to do to inform us according to our desires. As an experienced traveler, his advice was super relevant. Uri, thank you for your hospitality and for participating in our Dutch super weekend.
