Enjoy the pure romance of a luxury hot tub in beautiful, exciting, unique surroundings. If you’re a fan of New Orleans, you’ll love this fantasy oasis in the town where the movie Groundhog Day was filmed. The Mardi Gras House, like the City of Woodstock, welcomes people of all races, nationalities, and sexual orientations, with the aim of having guests feel right at home. Guests tell us their stay at the Mardi Gras House was a significant part of their traveling adventure--not to be missed!

The space
The Mardi Gras House dates to 1912 and has been lovingly restored with indoor and outdoor gaslights and other exquisite architectural details reminiscent of homes in the Garden District in New Orleans. Rooms include a 1920s French dress shop, 1890s New Orleans brothel and séance room, 1920s Art Deco movie palace, and a railroad-themed jazz lounge. Luxuriate in your 1850s’ Chinese Courtyard surrounded by authentic Chinese temple tiles above your queen-sized bed and other mid-nineteenth-century artifacts. Other amenities include your own Private Hot Tub (minimum one-day advance booking for prep time), high-end black-and-white marble bath, sauna and spa, gym, bar, and laundry. A fabulous cook’s kitchen awaits you, shared by you and your hosts, Craig, Kendri, and Debbie. Be as secluded as you like or join in salon-style conversations with your hosts.

The Mardi Gras House is two blocks from the historic Woodstock Opera House, Ethereal Event Space, and Woodstock Square, boasting shopping, dining, live entertainment, and an eight-screen movie theater. On and around the Square, visit the numerous sites where Groundhog Day was filmed. The Mardi Gras House, referred to by locals as "the mansion" and "the museum," is two blocks from the train station where trains run every other hour to and from Chicago. Save your fair to the French Quarter and stay with us, or come from the French Quarter and feel right at home!
