Pepe was an excellent host, very kind and easygoing!!! He even bothered to call a taxi for us to go to the airport which we really appreciate. The room was really accurate. We only had one inconvenience due to the mosquito bites, but besides of that, we really enjoyed our stay at casa Kei. Close to everything by taxi and short walking distance to the most charming places of Brisas de Zicatela. I highly recommend it for backpackers and solo travelers. Thanks a lot Pepe !

After being on the road exploring and traveling between cities for a couple of weeks, we decided to pop down to puerto escondido for a few days to relax. Pepe's house was the perfect place to stay. It's lovely and peaceful. The rooms are groovy and spacious. I fell in love with his pets and we made so many tasty meals in the in his great kitchen. Thanks for having us Pepe X Ani & Ryan X

My time at Casa Kei was so wonderful that I ended up extending my stay a few days... The compound is made of several rooms/bathroom surrounding a lush garden and communal kitchen. Everything is very well maintained and I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the place. That being said, it is definitely outdoor living, so you have to enjoy the rustic/camping scenery get the most out of this place... for me it was perfect! Mangoes falling off the trees for breakfast, an awesome outdoor shower that watered the beautiful flowers, and adorable animals to keep you company! The kitchen is well stocked with anything you may need to cook, and there's an excellent fruit & veggie store just a minute walking down the road. My third floor room was great- it really is just a bed and shelves, but that was all I needed! Kept the windows wide open all day and the mosquito net/fan at night worked perfectly. Loved being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves... Only downside to the room is that you have to walk three flights of stairs to use the bathroom, and if you're not well-coordinated the stairs can be a little precarious. The location close to La Punta was fantastic. Definitely a local scene opposed to the more touristy areas of PE & Zicatela beach. Cute restaurants line the beach and I found my favorite health food store in all of Mexico- Moringa! I can't wait to go back to Casa Kei as it will be the only place I stay in PE from now on :)

Nice view (especially sunset). Windows open right up - it's like sleeping in a tree house (and you can hear the waves in the distance). The room is small and basic but its uniqueness makes up for that. Pepe was great. We enjoyed our stay.
