Liz and Bruce's bunkhouse was a dream to stay at with friends for the weekend! They were so warm and welcoming. We had the opportunity to hike the hills, meet the cows and horses, and wake up to the sound of happy birds singing! They have such a beautiful property and I can't wait to come back!
We liked everything about the bunk house. Liz was very welcoming and provided us with homemade soap and pastries. The scenery was amazing and we loved the remote location. There were cows and horses right outside and the short hike up the hill gave us a great view of the whole ranch. Coming from Chicago the bunk house was a great chance of environment and our family (girls ages 7 & 10) thought it was a terrific adventure staying there. Thanks for having us!
Wow. What an amazing and serene place. My only regret is we only stayed here one night at the end of our Memorial Day weekend Sonoma trip. You drive down a long dirt road and there's nothing but hills and cows as far as your eyes see. The house is wonderful, and Liz and Bruce were very welcoming and friendly hosts. Take a walk around the property and meet the cows and horses, and then sit by the fire with a nice hot meal. I wish we had more time to explore the town as well ... I can't wait to come back!!
This is definitely the best vacation house we have stayed - clean, cozy and convenient. The owner Liz and Bruce are very nice and considerate. They even turned on the fireplace for us to keep the house warm. My daughter likes the farm, the cows and houses, and all our family had a great stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Cow Track Ranch. The Bunkhouse was cozy, and the fireplace worked great.
The surroundings are beautiful and there were plenty of birds (so many hummingbirds!). Bruce gave us directions for a walk in the hills.
One of our friends was a bit concerned about the spiders around the farm. It didn't bother most of us, but it might be worth knowing for someone who's really afraid of them.
About the Host, Liz & Bruce
Cow Track Ranch is a family owned & operated working cattle ranch which we have owned since 1986. We raise Angus Beef and Texas Longhorn cattle on our 500 acres in addition to sustainably grown seasonal produce. Our property is also a preferred venue for weddings and special events.
Bruce has been a large animal veterinarian for over 50 years and Liz has several businesses of her own including a line of artisan soaps, cooking seasoning products, children's fashion, home decor & more. Our sustainable produce is used for our soaps which are provided for our guests to enjoy. During your stay, feel free to purchase a few of these gift items from Liz's studio.
Feel free to explore the views that the ranch has to offer. We suggest a picnic by the pond or a hike to the top of the ranch. Visit our Guide Book for local cuisine & tours.
